The clock works well. The buttons are laid out nicely and it is easy to use. It is loud. Even the softest setting is relatively loud, so if you want an option for a quiet wake up, you will need to look elsewhere. My only complaint is that the volume defaults to the loudest setting. When you first plug it in or if it loses power without the battery backup, you start back at the loudest setting. It works! Super loud! Wakes the dead. Daughter was sleeping through all of her phone alarms and being late for work. Saw this and decided to use it as a backup.
