Easy to use, faster signal when close to item. Used large metal detector first and used pinpoint detector while we dug. 100% accurate on every spot. Nothing of value was found but metal was found on every alerted spot. Be very careful if wearing a ring or scanning dirt you have in that ring hand, it will pick up that jewelry. if you let the device’s connection strap dangle, it will alert on the snap. Keep your metal tools away from the area as well or it will pick up on those. ... show more

The Sunpow Metal Detector for Adults Professional is one of the best metal detectors I have ever owned. Living close to the beach, I have owned many metal detectors, most were just toys compared to the Sunpow. Most metal detectors in this price range are merely toys, without the advanced features of this one. The assembly was really easy, taking less than 5 minutes. All the pieces are well made and went together without any tools. The build quality is good, with none of the plastic burrs and tags that you often see on similar products. The pole length is easily adjustable so treasure hunters of various heights are still comfortable using it. The display is large and easily readable, which is great for a guy like me that wears bifocals. No squinting, just good readable text and numbers. And the display has a backlight for those warm summer evenings where you just want to walk along the beach as the sun goes down. The search coil is waterproof so you can’t damage it if you ware walking along the shore and a wave hits it. I like the handgrip as it is well balanced and doesn’t tire out your arm during an afternoon of searching. I personally tested it with various coins and the display is accurate, if it says 5c then you can be sure it’s a nickel, 25c is a quarter, 10c and 1c a dime and a penny. This is a great feature when scanning a busy beach, since with other detectors I’ve had, much of the time was spent digging up bottlecaps or similar. The amazing thing is that most models in this price range get you the detector, and that’s all. The Sunpow has a really nice carrying case, a nice set of headphones, and a great collapsible shovel with its own nice case. This metal detector had the best specs and price while doing my metal detector search. After receiving it, so far it has stood up to its description. It is easy to put together. Comes with a shovel and case for the shovel. That's awesome and very handy. The headphones are of good quality. It's waterproof and easy to hold. I bought this for my 7 year old son. He has been asking me for one ever since he discovered there is such a thing, lol. We both use it. It's very fun. We have found some interesting items, lol. Can't beat it for the price, either. April 23 2023 I purchased this pinpointer. Have used and purchased many other brands and this ones the best so far. I metal detect a lot. And I have wore the tip off this one. I've patched it up and still using it. It has seen some abuse. I've more than paid for this thing so many times with all the coins and rings that it's helped me pinpoint.
