As many say after spending $1300 on a phone having a serious case is the most important item on the shopping list. After serious research and few hours trying to watch videos and weighing the pros and cons of each case decided to buy 5 cases at one. Below the pros and cons of each and my preference. Before I go on it is important to explain that I have used front and back cases for many years . Prior years Otterbox was my preferred brand until I discovered Lifeproof. Unfortunately due to the fact that in 2020 Samsung decided to put fingerprint unlock in the front of the phones it seems the majority of cases for the S20, S20 ultra , Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra have no built-in-screen protection. DO NOT be fooled that Gorilla glass means your phone is safe. It is sturdier but for sure can scratch and break. Even if your phone has insurance and screen cost replacement is onl y $29 who wants to deal in the midst of a pandemic going to a store and who knows for how long deal without a phone. Here are my reviews: #1 SUPCASE UNICORN BETTLE PRO SERIES For those who don’t mind not having a true built-in screen this case would be awesome. 1. It has the holster and a sturdy kickstand that with creativity could be used as a ring holder to manage the weight and size of the phone. So the kickstand could help in that way too. 2. This phone comes with a front protection besides the one in the back. But as the ad says the front cover has no real built in screen. I even think the front cover brings some mild protection. Not mayor one. 3. The back protection looks pretty sturdy but no way in the world I would have felt safe if this phone falls towards the front part. 4. Yes the back camera is protected making it sit lower than the back of the case 5. The holster is awesome for those who ever use one. Of all the 3 cases without built-in-screen this would be most protective and functional one for my taste and needs. #2 SPIGEN TOUGH ARMOR 1. This one has a very sturdy back protection and the yellow foam inside makes it feel sturdier to me than the Spigen Slim Armor with Credit card slot. Also, the back cover will not show much dust or traces of use. So that is cool 2. I detested the kickstand. It seems so flimsy. That is why the instructions says if it comes off to attach it back. Definitely a no for me. No front protection at all and the kickstand is better on the above described Supcase Unicorn Beetle pro. Adios to this amigo forever. # 3 SPIGEN SLIM ARMOR CREDIT CARD SLOT 1. I wanted to fall in love with this case due to the built in credit card slot. It also looks classy elegant but in the end this too is a no for me. 2. This phone case like the other Spigen only comes with front back protection. I saw a video on you tube that swore these Spigen cases could be slammed and that back case was raised towards the front of the phone that the front would be safe. Not to my impression. I’m comfortable if this thing falls towards the front .The back protection of the Spigen Tough Armor is better. Only good thing this phone has is the credit card slot #4 SPIDERCASE WATERPROOF BUILT-IN-SCREEN PROTECTOR 1. Have only tested this one day. This is more what I was looking for. This case protects the entire phone that is why they advertise this case is waterproof. I’m guessing this is why the case adds weight to the phone more than the others above (unless compared with the above Supcase while adding the extra layer of protection and using the holster clip). If adding weight via a case is a concern, then whole protection is not for you and for sure ditch this as an option. Naturally the back camera is also covered by a plastic to make it waterproof. Unlike other cases which have a raised bezel to protect the camera this one doesn’t. Id say it gives neutral protection to the camera against a 4 feet fall but whole protection against water 2. Have not been able to make the fingerprint work which is crazy since the case comes with instructions on how to make it work and assures it will. Well I have not figured it then. 3. This case is sturdy and since I’m liking it the most my next choice is to return it and hope to get one from this brand in which the fingerprint does works. 4. Note the built-in-screen in the front and in the back will be easy to scratch. While it hasn’t happened yet with this case it happened plenty with my Lifeproof cases. 5. I will be adding a credit card and ring holder to maneuver the weight. #5 CLAYCO FORZA SERIES 1. Like the above Spire case this one has true built-in-screen protection. This is more my type of case. Was trying to decide if this one was better than the above and this Clayco is better than the Spidercase in the following ways: 2. The 4 corners of the case are super raised with TPU so if the phone falls on any of those corners is way more protected than the corners of the Spidercase above. 3. The back of the case is not entirely transparent which I don’t mind and it seems a lot sturdier than the Spidercase and for sure more scratch resistant. 4. The camera in back has a higher bezel that will protect the camera a lot better/ 5. Only thing it doesn’t have is waterproof being a waterproof case. Therefore the back camera is open. It also feels lighter than the above Spidercase. 6. The fingerprint DID work on this case. I did what the others review suggested which was erase all prior fingerprints and after putting this case set new fingerprints. For those who hasn’t worked just return and and request another one. To me these last 2 cases are the winners. Ill consider buying for this case a tempered glass for the camera and add a credit card and ring holder to make it easier to hold. IS THERE A CASE OUT THERE WITH BUILT-IN-SCREEN, CREDIT CARD SLOT AND RING HOLDER? ... show more

Bought this to replace my aging Otterbox that did its best. Fit and function is pretty good. Not crazy about the charging port cover, which was off center and caused me to have to wiggle around a bit to get a solid fit for charging. I got about 7 months out of it before it fell from the holster and landed on the corner and broke the frame. This then caused the frame to try and take my screen cover off at the fracture location. I did not use the kick stand at all, so I cannot comment on that. However, I can say it's drop distance claim is a bit exaggerated. I think I will look elsewhere for a new case and holster. ******** UPDATED INFORMATION 06-02-23 ********* And, to add to this.. I received a new, no cost, replacement case today in the mail!! I know it is difficult to understand, but apparently customer service is NOT lost on these folks! All I can say at the moment is WOW.. They are not just any brand you can find in the local store, they do not have big ads and commercials on their products. But, they are standing behind this 1 !! So, guess where I am going to get my future cases for any of my future phones!! Thank you very much and I will be back again! ... show more

It is slimmer than the otter box, it is great protection, I love the green color, and the stand is great when I didn't think I would use it honestly, I use it all the time. The clip feels really flimsy however it has been great for me.

There's a lot to unpack with this latest Unicorn Beetle case. First of all there is some false advertising here. They state on the page that "Dual-layer design creates the industry's thinnest drop-proof case and winner of CNET's annual drop test." But the drop test is not for this specific case. In fact, at the time that I purchased it, CNET hadn't even drop tested this case, at all. Quite misleading, because not every phone and not every case reacts the same to drops, this one specifically, because the front case that protects the bezel is extremely thin, even in comparison to other Unicorn Beetle cases, of which I have owned several. The Note 20 Ultra is not overly unique in the Samsung line. Without any case, the phone itself feels as though it would slide right out of your hand. This case prevents that from happening, with a solid grip, and decent back and side protection. The front of the case DOES NOT come with a screen protector. If you read that it does, and bought this because you expected a screen protector, think again. I purchased this along with the recommended LϟK case that Amazon said people often bought together and it works fairly well, and fits with this case. This case also makes it much better to lay the phone on its back, as without the case, the phone will wobble due to the way the cameras extend from the phone itself. This makes it so that the phone can lay flat without an issue. Due to the nature of the case, water protection isn't nearly as good as other Unicorn Beetle cases for other phones that are fully covered. That being said, there are some areas that are covered by the case, such as the USBC port that requires you to unfold the phone flap to plug something in. I also was able to use this case with a samsung wireless charger. I can't speak to others having issues with chargers that are not directly from samsung. I will say, for those that are breaking this case when attempting to take the case apart, there is a particular "trick" to taking off the case. Like most Unicorn Beetle cases, you need to peel back the border before you remove the case, and you always remove the BACK of the case first instead of attempting to pry the front off. Likewise, when putting the case back on, always place the front portion of the case on the phone, and then lay it back into the backside of the case, edging the bottom in first. Other Unicorn Beetle cases are similar. The last thing I will say, and something that - again, is common on other unicorn beetle cases that they REALLY need to rethink -- the kickstand. The kickstand is trash, generally speaking. It works for a while... but the way it flips out just asks for you to break it in many different ways. On my previous Unicorn Beetle case, the kickstand pulled off of the sliding hinge and despite putting it back on properly, it continuously fell out of place. These kickstands would be great, if they were quality, but these...are not. This may not be the best case for the Samsung Note 20 Ultra, but it's definitely not the worst. Even if you decide to purchase it, I would handle the phone with care. ... show more
