  • So far, so good! Minor belt-drift and speed issues, but well worth the price!
I love going for daily 60-90 minute walks. It's my main form of exercise. The problem? I live in upstate New York, where one day can be 75 degrees, and the next it could be 30. And one day the ground could be bare, while the next, there's 8" of snow. So I bought this for those days, weeks and months where walks are not possible. And so far, I'm really digging it despite some minor issues. It took about two weeks to arrive, and with a little help, I was able to get it assembled and running in about an hour. Make sure you have at least one other person, if not two, to move it, as it's well over 100 pounds and awkward to shuffle about due to its size. The wire you have to connect inside gave me some trouble, as one of the pins was bent. But some tweezers resolved that issue very quickly. I wasn't sure how much lube to use... I ended up using about half the bottle, and it seems to have been a good amount. (The belt moves very smoothly.) From an operational standpoint, it's quite intuitive and simple to grasp. Turn it, select your speed... boom. And it works pretty much perfectly. I was able to get a nice workout shortly after it was assembled, and plan on using it every day that the weather doesn't let me walk outside. I'm about 270 pounds (I was 345 not too long ago, but have managed to lose 75 pounds), and I have no doubts about its weight limit. It feels like its build like a tank. There are two minor issues I've noticed, though... -The belt is having very minor drift issues. There are screw-heads you can adjust to center it, but the fact of the matter is, no matter how much I toy with it, it always wants to slowly and slightly drift one way or the other. Not drastically, but enough that periodically (about once every 10 minutes, I'd say), I have to walk at an angle for a few seconds to kind of "guide" it back to the center. It's just going to be something I'll have to continue to work on until I can get it just right. -Also, I think the speed is a little off. When I go for walks outside, I typically walk about 3.25 miles in an hour. But the 3mph setting on this treadmill seems a little quicker than how I normally walk. This isn't really an issue... just more of an observation. But other than those, I'm very happy with this treadmill. It was affordable compared to other units I saw. It doesn't require ridiculous bells and whistles. (Like some I've seen that require a subscription to use... that's just ridiculous.) And it's easy and intuitive. So far, this is a 5 out of 5 for me. I will update if I have any issues. ... show more

  • Sturdy, well-made, 20” wide treadmill - great product
The T7643 was delivered on-time, 2 days ago to our driveway by UPS heavy item delivery, and we used wheeled cart to get it in house, unpacked it and brought it upstairs to the exercise room. The next day we assembled it and used entire 1oz oil bottle to lubricate the metal plate “running board” under belt. We turned it on and the computer display did not light, but the motor ran just fine. We suspected this happened because of very poor instructions about assembling the console head. They do not tell you, but you need to cut a plastic cable tie that is holding the connector at the console end of one upright pole. If you do not cut that cable tie which we now know is used to keep the cable connector from falling down inside the upright tube until you assemble the unit , you’ll crush the connector and possibly snap one of the wires in the cable when you put the console head on the upright poles. For our unit, the red wire inside the plastic tubing was found to be crushed and broken. I had to use a soldering iron and re-join the red wire with a piece of heat shrink tubing ready to slide over the now soldered joint to fix it. It works fine now. Shame on them for bad instructions. We had to do a bunch of adjusting on the belt, first loosening it so it was even possible to get a hand between the belt and a metal plate under it to apply the silicone oil, and then as the belt wore in with use, adjust it so that it was centered and at the proper tension. Once again, the instructions were between nonexistent and abysmal on lubricating the belt and on measuring the proper tension. Here is a list of all the bad or nonexistent instructions they provided for assembly by instruction book step number: Step 3: With one person holding console above poles, have the other person plug-in the connector from top of right side pole and then have them cut that cable tie that was holding the cable at the end of the pole before proceeding. The cable tie is white nylon and is like a strap going through one of the bolt holes. Discard it. Make sure the cable is not being damaged and gently put the console in place on top of poles and put provided screws into the holes and tighten. Step 5: Instructions should say loosen the bolt E12 and remove it with its plastic washer (“pad”). Step 6: After you fold, or stand up, the belt unit and it latches in the vertical position, now remove the bolt and plastic washer (“pad“) at the other end of the short safety cable called the “safety block”, from what you started removing in step 5. Those are the parts they tell you to save even though you only need them in shipping, but if you lose one of the assembly screws, they have the same size as safety block screws you removed, so you will have spares. Step 8: Well, there should be a step eight with some serious explanation about lubricating the treadmill belt before first use. All they have is a circled note pointing you to page 12 that has precious little information. This extra information will help when used in addition to what they provide on page 12: If the running belt is too tight for you to lift it and fit your hand under it with the uncapped and opened bottle of oil, you must loosen the running belt before trying to lubricate the running board for the first time. Turn the belt adjusting mechanism using the Allen wrench, one turn on each side until you loosened it by about six or more turns, just enough to make that belt loose enough to get your hand under it. As such you can barely reach halfway across underneath the belt with the oil bottle. Squirt a stream of oil reaching in from one side of the belt, as you pull the oil bottle out. Use your foot to then step on and pull the belt to roll it and make it move toward the back of the treadmill to begin spreading the oil out. Now step around to the other side of the machine and do the same thing for the other half of the belt. Do not get any oil on the top of the belt. When they say one side or the other side they don’t mean top and bottom of belt. They mean left and right side of the treadmill. You may have to squirt the oil and extra time on each side if you haven’t yet used up the bottle. Use up the entire 1 ounce bottle in this lubricating process on a new treadmill. It helps if you spread the oil around on the running board with a small paper towel, or nitrile gloves, or some other method. It is difficult to reach under the belt to do this, but that’s what you have to do. Even when you add oil in the future after the specified amount of use between oilings, you still use a full 1 ounce of oil in reapplying the silicone oil. Never, ever use petroleum oil of any sort or you will damage the rubber tread. Silicone oil does not damage rubber and has no petroleum in it. You can order more silicone treadmill oil by searching for it at Amazon. It’s sold in mostly 4 ounce bottles, and some in 1 ounce bottles. Select a brand that has reviewers who say the oil is very viscous/thick, not thin. Thick or viscous oil is the only kind you should use or you will have a mess and the lubrication won’t last as long. I will provide an update once we’ve had a chance to use this for some number of weeks or months. I can say for sure that this unit is definitely very heavy duty, very sturdy, and well-built. And unlike most on the market, the belt is about 20” wide not 16”. That makes a big difference for taller people (I am 6’ 1”) using the treadmill. Their feet don’t run off the edge. Also, many other treadmills have had a problem with jerky changes of speed. This one is super smooth speed up and slow down and has no faults whatsoever. For anyone who wonders about power consumption, I measured it since Amazon’s site does not have any such information. This unit takes about 50 W at speed 1mph, and 300 W at max speed 6mph. The power varies very little as you are walking or jogging. In conclusion, I docked this review rating by one star because the instructions are horrible, especially Step 3, which causes the console connector and/or cable to get crushed, which causes damage that has to be repaired. Except for that I would give this a five star rating, so far, and I recommend this over almost any other treadmill as long as you don’t mind having no adjustable incline. ... show more

  • So Far Its been a Nice Addition
I am a bigger man, and I was hoping getting would give me an option to get a walk in, if the weather outside isn't cooperating. So I have been using this for about a month or so now, and it is working as I hoped. This to me was a simple treadmill and one that doesn't have all the bells and whistles but does the job its intended for. I have through dieting and other exercise including this device, dropped about 20 pounds since this arrived. There is a creaking noise that I hear when I use it, sounds similar to a creaking boat. I can live with it, it is very easy to use, and I can vary speeds easily if I would like. I am 6'2 and I have about a 34 inch inseam, and I can walk comfortably on the treadmill, and it probably can handle a stride of somebody that is 8 to 10 inches taller than me. Hopefully this device last for years, as I have become quite comfortable using it now. So much so that I may be willing to part with my elliptical device now. It was fairly easy to assemble, a little heavy to bring upstairs. It can be folded up but you will likely need a couple people or more to move it. I do really like that it isn't as space consuming as other treadmills. 3 month later update, it is still working good, I change this to a five star review, as the product is durable and performing well, for a really solid price. If anyone was looking for the best budget treadmill, this is hands down, this is the one I would recommend. ... show more
