I am an occasional printer and some PLA filament can sit around unused for a while. I keep it in a bag with desiccants but noticed some brittleness and snapping noise when printing. So I baked the filament in this box and the print quality has improved as well as no more brittleness. I feed my printer directly out of this, while not a show stopper, the only improvement I see might be slightly better rollers for the spool to spin on. I purchased these to prevent air leakage into the bags and humidity intrusion to my filaments. literally minutes after bagging my spools, each bag that had most of the air removed before sealing now has absolutely not sealed and is loosely bagged around the spool vs the tight low air that it was bagged as. Overall, this dryer is great. Clean look, easy to set up, bright LCD temperature and timer controls work as they should. BUT: The only problem is the rollers inside the unit. They don't spin very well, and as I'm printing I hear a terrible screeching and clanking every half hour as the printer is trying to yank the filament out of the dryer. Every time my heart stops because I think that the printer motor has jammed or snapped, but it's just the clunky wheels in the drying unit. This might be fixed with a hand-made rig, but otherwise this dryer is great. ... show more

I was having a problem in my basement printing because my filament was picking up moisture so I ended up wasting a bunch of filament this little dryer has been a godsend helping to illuminate problems I’ve had with filament swelling it works very well and has no sound if you don’t have one I suggest getting one ... show more
