  • Stunning, Smooth Color Transitions with a Premium Metallic Finish
Size: 1KG Color: Silk Aged Brass
The AMOLEN Silk PLA Aged Brass Gradient filament completely transforms 3D prints from basic plastic toys into high-end, antique-looking art pieces. The unique color shifts across the spool offer a striking metallic luster that beautifully mimics weathered, historical metalwork, making it perfect for printing coins, armor pieces, vases, and detailed desk sculptures. Color & Finish Quality Aged Brass Luster: The silk finish delivers a deep, reflective sheen that does not look overly reflective or cheap. It has a convincing metallic depth that accentuates shadows and highlights on complex geometries. Gradient Transitions: The color changes smoothly and consistently throughout the spool. Unlike abrupt color changes, this gradient blends naturally over longer prints, giving larger models an authentic, multi-toned metallic patina. Printability & Performance Layer Line Hiding: The high reflectivity of the silk formula works brilliantly to mask visible layer lines. Even at standard layer heights, the finished surfaces look incredibly smooth and polished. Extrusion Consistency: With a strict ±0.02mm dimensional accuracy, the filament feeds flawlessly through the extruder. There are no sudden thin spots or bulges, ensuring a highly predictable and even flow across long print times. Bed Adhesion: It adheres exceptionally well to a heated PEI build plate. It shows virtually zero lifting or warping at the corners, which can often be a major pain point with lower-quality silk polymers. Spooling & Packaging Winding: The spool is wound evenly and neatly, meaning you can leave the printer running unattended overnight without worrying about cross-over tangles snapping the line. Vacuum Seal: It arrived perfectly dried and sealed in a thick vacuum bag with a fresh desiccant pack, resulting in zero sizzling, popping, or stringing right out of the box. Pros Beautiful, authentic aged brass metallic finish Smooth and gradual gradient color shifts Excellent at hiding layer lines naturally Consistent diameter prevents under-extrusion clogs Superb first-layer bed adhesion Cons Like most silk filaments, layer-to-layer bond strength is slightly weaker than standard PLA, making it better suited for decorative pieces than heavy functional parts. Final Verdict: AMOLEN has truly nailed the aesthetic formula with this Silk Aged Brass Gradient. It pairs flawless printability and tight tolerances with an incredibly premium, antique visual style. If you want your prints to look like heavy, crafted metal instead of 3D-printed plastic, this spool is an absolute must-have. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Colors are amazing - Quality is solid, silks can take some dialing in of settings Colors are amazing - Quality is solid, silks can take some dialing in of settings
Size: 1KG Color: Silk Gradient Azure Blue
I love Amolen’s colors, especially the Azure blue. Their gradients look fantastic on prints and add amazing dimension soon without post processing. You do need to make sure you dial in your print settings and play with supports depending on the model, but most silks need this attention. Once your settings are solid, the prints turn out gorgeous. ... show more

  • Good value for sample materials Good value for sample materials
I bought this sample pack to test out AMOLEN's products. I've printed a few parts with each sample spool. I used the same bed temperature for each spool, 65C initial layer, 60C for the rest of the print. Winding was good except for the marble, and that was only for some outer windings. Silk Copper: This was my most successful of the four sample materials. I printed a temperature tower, small keychain for my wife and a T-Rex skull. I used a print temperature of 200C for the keychain and skull. Adhesion was great and the parts came off with small amount of effort after the bed cooled. I printed at 0.12mm layer thickness for the skull and it looks amazing! I used 0.2mm layer height for the keychain and tower and they're both smooth with no defects. You'll see some stringing in the temp tower and skull, this might be remedied with some print settings. Silk Gold: This was by far my most difficult material. I tried printing at 200C with 0.3mm nozzle but after about 30 layers it would clog up. I switched to a 0.4mm nozzle and it lasted a little longer. I ended up printing a temp tower after trying IronMan four times. I made some adjustments and semi-successfully printed Iron Man the fifth time. He was still really stringy and the detail wasn't that great, this could be due to scaling it too small. I ended up using a print temp of 215C. This filament was pretty brittle compared to the other three and snapped on me once while switching it out. Marble-like: I didn't have too many issues with this material. I printed a test cube and Minas Tirith (a city from Lord of The Rings) at 200C and it behaved well, but there was quite a bit of stringing on the city that I had to clean up. Otherwise, the part looks great! The spool was wound pretty bad for the outer windings and bound up a bit as the city printed. The inner windings look better though. Glow in the dark: This was the most fun to print with so far. I printed Zero from Nightmare Before Christmas for my daughter. The nose and collar were printed from orange and red PLA. I printed the glow in the dark at 200C and it was REALLY stringy. I super glued the parts together (Gorilla Glue brand) and they stick together great. The material glows really well, especially if it gets direct sunlight. ... show more

Size: 1KG Color: Silk Silver Grey
This is a Brand Name Premium filament and it absolutely shows. It's not some junk stuff like elegoo or sunlu. It prints amazing in silk grey and silk gold which is a lighter gold not thst ornage gold. The spools were so beautifully rolled to assume no tangles. The flow is amazingly smooth and the shine is phenomenal. HIGHLY recommend with good silk settings and a decent printer. Its almost a perfect match to beaker and similar to bambu labs titan grey silk. If ur like me and use name brand stuff and habe zero issues cause you have a good printer you will love this brand. ... show more

  • Tangled Spool Tangled Spool
Size: 1KG Color: Silk Gradient Red Gold (Darker Version)
I got this spool in 2022. First time I tried to use it, I had problems with layer adhesion and extruding. Tried all sorts of temps (including the recommended ones listed right there on the spool) I have a flash forge adventure 3. For the life of me I could not get it to adhere properly to the print bed and anything remotely salvageable looked terrible. Not good for any sort of detail work / anything “complicated” Second time I used it, it clogged so horribly I had to replace the printer head on my printer because I could not clear the clog at all. (Trust me, I tried everything) and I also had to replace the tube & coupling that fed the filament into the printer head. This clog was so bad I had to disassemble the feed assembly as well. Had it not been for the ease of getting flash forge parts from there site and how easy it is to pull the printer appart, it would have killed my printer irreparably. I tossed it in a bag with oxygen absorbers and promptly ignored it, and basically dubbed it the cursed spool. I’ve learned a lot since that point and decided to touch the cursed spool again. I decided to print off a very simple print that many other of my “difficult” filaments from other manufacturers seemed to do really well with. I recognize that “silky” filaments are notorious to be difficult but I have others from different manufacturers and *never* had a problem like this one. I DID NOT REALIZE THE ENTIRE SPOOL WAS A KNOTTED TANGLED MESS. I regret not returning this when I had initially got it, but that was primarily due to my inexperience at the time. It was among some of the first filaments I had gotten and didn’t know better. I some how managed to get a print out of it (it’s a split color, so the first 15 layers of the print are in an entirely different filament) and you can see how deep that tangle of filament ran on the spool. Then I looked deeper into the roll. You can literally see it runs throughout the entire roll how tangled the whole thing is. ... show more

  • Some kind of gunk mixed in the filament Some kind of gunk mixed in the filament
Size: 1KG Color: Silk Gradient Black Red Gold
This is the first time I've purchased Amolen filament. I've bought hundreds of rolls of other brand filaments and I've never seen anything like this. Didn't see this on the surface until it had been printing for a little while and the printer paused because of a SEVERE tangle. That's when I saw this gunky stuff mixed all inside the filament. It’s such a shame because the colors are very nice and I was really looking forward to trying Amolen filaments. I am returning to Amazon for a replacement. I'm hoping that it was just a fluke, otherwise, I will never purchase Amolen again. I'll update my review when I receive the new filament. UPDATE: Amazon sent a replacement roll of the filament. It printed perfectly and the colors are amazing! I’m so happy with it. Amolen reached out to me and are giving me a full refund for the original roll. I can’t wait to try other Amolen filaments! ... show more

  • Prints come out nice but has a fatal flaw and an annoyance
Size: 1KG Color: Silk Gradient Blue Silver
A little about my setup so the review has all the information needed. Printer: Prusa MK3S+ (stock 0.4 brass nozzle and diamondback 0.4mm nozzle) Enclosure: Printer-box (also stock) Filament: PLA Filament 1.75mm Silk Shiny Filament Blue Silver Filament Temp: 210 nozzle, 60 Bed Slicer: Prusaslicer The Good - I have done 5 different type of prints with the same spool. An articulated dragon, a large vase stl (using it as a filament waste trash can), a dry box with clamps, some chip clips and an octopus that has its tentacles raised. Every single one came out looking beautiful with a very minimal amount of stringing. The amount of a color before changing to the next color is spot on and even throughout the spool. It's nice and smooth and gradual, then solid for a bit before moving to the other color. No problems with bed adhesion with what I printed on the smooth PEI sheet. The Bad- The spool is wound exactly like you see in the pictures above. Haphazardly. Reminded me of when a kid has to do chores so only does it enough that it's passable but not enough to be considered to be done correctly. Thankfully I didn't get any parts that were knotted but I was worried the whole time that next 'noise' was the horribly wound spool messing up. The REALLY BAD is that the filament clogged 3 times. (Not a nozzle change problem) Three times in one single spool! I've tried 5 other brands of filament and I didnt have a single clogged nozzle till I used this. I've gone through two other spools from another brand and no problems either. For this reason alone I won't buy them again. Kinda sucks as the prints actually are beautiful. ... show more
