🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The iSanmate filament products receive generally positive reviews, with particular praise for their printing quality and great color. However, some users have issues with specific color gradients not matching the advertisement. For the most part, even the more complex filament types such as Wood and Glow-in-the-Dark are generally well-received, with only minor issues with certain varieties.

Pros

  • 👍 Exceptional print quality across all types of filament, including complex varieties like Wood and Glow-in-the-Dark.
  • 💜 Matte finishes provide smooth and attractive printed results.
  • 👌 Filaments generally seen as reliable with minimal clogging.

Cons

  • 👎 Some color gradients, specifically the Red/Yellow variety, do not match their advertised appearance.
  • ⚠️ Some users found the filaments to be slightly brittle, although this did not seem to affect print quality.
  • ❌ A small number of users reported clogging issues with certain filament types.

Should I Buy It?

If you prioritize high-quality prints and a wide array of unique finishes and colors, then iSanmate filament is a solid option. However, bear in mind that the colors may not always match their advertising perfectly, and be prepared to test and adjust settings for optimal results.

  • Bad filament
Color: White Pine Wood, Sandal Wood, Yellow Pea...
!! UPDATE !! After writing my review the company immediately contacted me to ask if they could send me new filament and correct the issue. It was shipped in less than 24 hrs and I recieved the new filament within 3 days. I am very impressed with this company the customer service was wonderful and they corrected the problem immediately without any hesitation. I would recommend this company to anyone. 5 stars most definitely. Only 2 out of four rolls printed correctly the other two rolls had obviously taken in moisture at some point because it bubbles when trying to extrude and you cannot print with it so expect only half of what you pay for ... show more

  • It is packaged as labeled. Quality so far is clean, and as seen visually.
Color: Matte Blue+green+pink
Adhesion has been fantastic once leveled and set accordingly for your printer. As with any new filaments you should test temps and adhesion methods for your bed material, tips, and printer. So far color quality is fantastic. Color change through length is great for medium sized products. Smaller keychains the change is not very quick, would suggest to make another line for smaller prints for faster color changes. Print speeds are 100mm/s with no hiccups or adhesion issues with hot end temps teetering around 210C and bed temps at 60C. So far print is perfect, no deformations on bed with Ender 3 V2. Keep printing everyone! ... show more

  • Nice Color Shift PLA
Color: 4 Pack Tri-color
I'm New to 3D Print and Am a Hobby Enthusiast of RCing FUN, with One of My RC Models done as a Graboid Hunter (from the Movie TREMORS) with a Shrieker in the bed, I was wanting to get an AzzBlaster for it and put this Filament to the Test (Purple Gold-Red Bronze-Copper) for the Print as it is built mainly on tree supports (which failed on my first attempt) after beefing up the supports and reducing the scale to about 85%, from 5 to 4 1/2 inches long, successfully created an Amazing Model that Needs no painting or sanding and actually done a lot of bridging in several parts without stringing all over the supports and Model, there was a few strands of fine hair but for the amount of retraction and ejection wasn't but 3 or 4 instances on the support trees. I can only imagine how this filament is going to print other Cool stuff for My Wife Crafts and My Hobby. Will be using more ISANMATE Filament as we've got 3 other colors and the Glow in the Dark too. So far so Good and can Recommend this Brand. Next will be the Glow in the Dark Test... ... show more

  • Excellent print quality both aesthetic and functional
Color: Petg-black, Red, Brown, Blue
I had heard that PETG is somewhat difficult to print so I had to try it out. Adding carbon fiber to the mix sounded just like the challenge I was wanting. To my surprise, this filament printed beautifully on my Neptune 3 Pro with minimal changes to the generic PETG built into Cura. It's perfect for functional parts (I printed fixing brackets for the MGN12 rail I used to update my laser's x-axis) and the visual quality is much better than most PLA I've used. There is an oozing and stringing issue but after tweaking the slicer settings (temp, retraction, travel), it greatly reduced that problem. The color combo was also a selling point since there is variety without having to shell out $30 each for 1kg of each color. I didn't receive a spool of the brown but I did receive 2 rolls of blue (I contacted the seller but no response but it's a minor issue). Overall I am quite pleased with this filament and going forward I think that I will move away from PLA in favor of PETG--it just prints beautifully. ... show more

  • Look elsewhere
Color: Glow Multicolor, Green, Blue and Blue-green
Let me count the ways in which I feel ripped off. 1) As displayed in my uploaded image, the consistency of this filament is abhorrent. I am using a brand new JS1 Snapmaker and the filament has been grinding the drive gears of the extruder like a rookie truck driver. Never in all of the years I have been doing 3D prints, have I come across a filament that actually gets stuck in the Bowden tube to the point you have to yank it out backwards in an unloading scenario. The print that I am working on, was to be an 18 hour print, but it is now 26 hours because every time I walk away and do something constructive else where, it decides to get stuck and make the JS1 stop and wait for me to return to essentially, yank the filament out, and load it back in. 2) One would assume these would be a full size roll but alas, that is not the case. These are 4 mini rolls of frustration and wasted money with an odd coating that is grainy and full of friction. Luckily I had my SUNU drier and have been literally cooking the roll as I print but even so, it has jammed twice. Wonderfull, because we all know how awesome it is to have a large print stall out or quit on you when it is assumed the product you bought would be just a tad bit better on the quality side. Might as well try to 3d print log chain and see how that pans out. 3) "Glow" doesn't seem to be glowing in the colors that are pictured. In fact, all 4 of them, have the same sick green glow to them so..not sure where the variety pack is in all of this, but it is safe to say they didn't know either, grabbed whatever was laying on the floor and threw it into a box for me to suffer their lack of QC. Either way, I will not buy another product from this company as it is painfully obvious to see, their deceptive practices know no bounds. If it did not take forever to get filament from Snapmaker, I would order nothing but Snapmaker filament because it is far superior than most of what is here on Amazon, other than Hatchbox, which is now my new go to Filament company at this point. (Overture also has issues with overlaps, snags and just horrid PETG) ... show more

  • Turns Brittle With Even The Smallest Amount Of Heat.
Color: Glow Multicolor, Green, Blue and Blue-green
It does glow well, and seems to print as well as any other PLA I have used. However, it turns brittle with any amount of heat. When I came back after the print was over the filament from the spool to the direct drive had broken. Just the heat rising from the bed and extruder caused the filament to get brittle. The printer head going back to park was enough to cause the brittle filament to break. It broke right at the direct drive making it hard to get out. I ended up taking the filament and trying to bend the next 6-12 inches a little at a time till it stopped snapping off and just bent like normal PLA. From that point it seems okay. But after each print the next 6-12 inches will not be usable, and the filament will break at the head when it returns to the parked position. ... show more
