i shopped around alot and this was a excellent choice i only had two issues on delivery a hole in the post and missing two screws which i have contacted the seller and will let you know about customer services we had three of us to assembled and it took about 9 hours from start to finish. it is beautiful sturdy and worth the money. i would of given 5 stars but due to a few issues i gave it a 4. the cedar post should be wrapped from the factory to secure. ... show more

After years of having a metal frame gazebo and replacing the fabric roof three times, not to mention removing it for every bad storm and winter, it was time for an upgrade. First of all this same gazebo is listed elsewhere on amazon for $500 more for some reason so this one is cheaper but also exactly the same. First delivery showed up within a week in one box so immediately something seemed off. Turns out it was only the box of lumber. After contacting amazon they sent a complete replacement free of charge. This time it was two boxes so I was relieved. Keep in mind the wood box is 200lbs and the hardware/roof box is 300lbs. Sunjoy definitely didn't skip on the packaging either with the heavier box being in a wood framed carton. Took 3 days to assemble in-between the heat and rain plus hurricane Isaias (good luck pronouncing). The wood frame support is the tricky part and took the longest to lay out to be sure it was right. Mainly because it is 5 different boards overlapping then sandwiched together per side. Try to make sure the columns are square and evenly placed as possible which makes roof assembly easier. On the top tier I had to bore out one of the holes for a bolt to line up but that was the only major fitment issue. After that the roof frame work was tedious with what seemed like endless hundreds of bolts and about 32 bars of various lengths and shapes. After some tweaking on the roof frame it was time for panels. It is three rows of panels per side and they interlock so I highly recommend leaving the top row loose so the middle sections line up nice and tight. Then I went back and tightened the top row. With the top two rows down the last row was fairly easy. If space is an issue recommend skipping the mosquito net bars until the very end. If next to a structure this will allow some room to access the roof bolts near the top until completion. A couple of the wood screws didn't bite to my satisfaction so some 1/2 inch longer deck screws did the trick. Few pieces of extra hardware are included but only needed on two occasions so expect a lot of left overs which is fine in my opinion. The press in nuts should be hammered in place vice trying to pull them into the wood with the bolt which doesn't work very well. Definitely recommend a good set of tools including a hammer drill to save many hours and makes things easier. 2-3 people is a must when raising the columns with wood frame attached. This seems very sturdy and went together nicely for the most part but also labor intensive. If working in the sun the metal gets really hot so morning assembly helps. Highly recommend for anyone replacing fabric canopies every year. Now if amazon would just come pick up the initial box of wood I'd be all set. First two scheduled pick ups have not happened. ... show more

Unfortunately, none of the pieces of wood were labled so it was a bit of a math excercise to figure out which pieces married up to each other. We only had 6'0 step ladders which made assembly of the roof very challenging - you need 8'-0 ladders (I'm 6'-3' tall). Instructions are not as clear as they could be - ended up installing roof "joists" in the wrong screw holes first time. It took two of us, 65 & 75 yrs old, about 11 hours to asseb=mble. With a blowing wind, rain enters between the upper and lower roof - I'm experimenting with various porus materials to act as a baffel. It has rained every day since we installed it! This gazebo does take some time to put together but if you follow the instructions, it is not difficult - just a lot of screws. This is also the reason that it is very sturdy. I definitely recommend having an electric drill/screwdriver. Now that it is put together, it is fantastic and our new favorite place for dinner. We installed a ceiling fan and light with no issues - ran cord hiding strips down the rails and it looks great. This is a fantastic purchase and looking to buy another on for our deck. ... show more

Came well packaged in 2 boxes on 1 large pallet. Very heavy. Plenty of spare hardware (screws, bolts, etc). Instructions were quite good, each step listed part numbers and quantities. I poured concrete footers for mine. Parts are efficiently packaged for shipping, NOT for assembly. I suggest sorting / laying all parts out, by step number. I used the cardboard boxes and wrote the step numbers on the box then sorted the parts and piled the parts for each step together on the cardboard. I read thru the instructions several times, then on assembly day I had 2 guys on ladders and I fed them parts and installation details. This method worked very well. Id estimate it took 8 hours total to assemble. When you get done, add some bling (solar lighting, ceiling fan, music) and enjoy. I'd recommend this gazebo. ... show more

After having a temporary aluminum gazebo collapse after a heavy rain last year, we decided to go with something sturdier. After lots of research, we chose this one. It arrived on time and packaged well. We hired two local handymen to put it together and they had it up in only 6 hours. They said the directions were easy to follow and the materials were easy to fit together. It looks great and feels sturdy. We had them anchor it to our concrete patio. And with Michigan’s upper peninsula mosquitoes, had to put up the screens, which my husband and I did in just a few minutes. Looking forward to making our patio enjoyable throughout the spring, summer and early fall. Keeping our fingers crossed it will withstand our winters, we will be periodically removing any accumulated snow with a roof rake. ... show more

We purchase a 10X10 Sunjoy Cedar Framed Gazebo in 2022. It was not difficult to put together, but it does take time (2 competent/handy folks, my husband and I, about 9 hours). The kit is engineered and packaged well. The instruction book is 100% pictorial (no written word directions). We had it up for 2 months, loved it, used it, and then sadly, a stormnadoe slammed a 60 foot, 5500 pound pine tree on top of it. Yes it was crushed beyond used, but the Sunjoy Gazebo was strong enough to protect the glass table patio under its care (see photo). We were so impressed with the strength, design and aesthetic of this gazebo, we bought and built the same to replace the first. Best wishes. ... show more
