I have the plug-in electric model; meaning that it needs an extension cord connected to the mains. This evening I used the trimmer in the backyard where I had tall grass. I needed three cord extensions (some 75 ft / 23 m in total) to get to the end of the backyard. The trimmer is powerful and did a great job. I am tall (6' 2" / 186 cm) and would have appreciated a bit taller rod (maybe 2-4 in or 5-10 cm taller). I understand this impacts the cost. It could be offered as an option for an extra $5 or so. Purchase 3/2021 (currently 7/2023) only used to trim small backyard. Bad design: difficult to remove cartridge, then having to thread two strings through a sleeve that slip over cartridge and then slipping in to housing. My unit starting to constantly release the string and then wrap around housing. Called Customer Service twice and individuals did not appear to have any real knowledge of the equipment, just looking at pictures. FYI - I responded to them via an email with pictures and they never got back to me with any information. ... show more

Look I'm an independent contractor so when I work tools,, I work tools. My grass is tall n thick n chomped threw it easily everything low was by SnowJoe weed eater. I Put it to work as soon as the box arrived even if the box was damaged it was golden. Price is definitely worth it. Decent power It's Lightweight, auto feed was on point, it's idiot proof, swivel head adjustable handle, worked super well the warrenty was super easy set up as well as the item itself.
