Description

Cats can be very good at hiding what’s ailing them. However, you can find clues in their litter box. Lots of stinky stools could mean your cat has a sensitive stomach and digestive tract. Sometimes regurgitation can be an indicator that your cat is eating too fast to even digest and absorb the nutrients they need. Regular regurgitation may indicate a more serious issue, and you should consult your veterinarian. Royal Canin Digestive Care Dry Cat Food is made for cats with sensitive stomachs that tend to scarf down and regurgitate their food. The exclusive ring-shaped cat kibble encourages your fast eater to slow down and chew thoroughly. Highly digestible proteins, including a blend of prebiotics and dietary fibers, help balance the intestinal tract for healthy digestion. This precise diet is proven to be effective after 10 days with over 95% healthy stool quality. Try pairing this dry food with Royal Canin Digest Sensitive Wet Adult Cat Food formulas for a meal your cat will love. With over 50 years of scientific research and observation, Royal Canin continues to deliver targeted nutrition to feed every pet’s magnificence. Not satisfied? Then neither are we. 🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

Most reviewers note that Royal Canin Digestive Care cat food has been incredibly helpful for their cats with digestive issues. However, a recent change in the kibble shape has caused disappointment for some customers, claiming it has led to a negative impact on their cats' digestion. Even with the alteration, many others find their cats enjoy the new kibble and it has significantly reduced digestive distress and vomiting.

Pros

  • 🐾 Great for cats with sensitive stomachs
  • 🐾 Originally helped cats slow down eating, reducing vomiting
  • 🐾 Improved fecal consistency
  • 🐾 Potential for calorie control compared to other brands

Cons

  • 🐾 Change in kibble shape is not pleasing to some cats
  • 🐾 Recent formula change may have caused digestive distress

Should I Buy It?

Considering the overwhelmingly positive response, Royal Canin Digestive Care Cat Food comes highly recommended for felines with sensitive stomachs, despite the potentially controversial change in kibble shape. Monitor your cat's response to any adjustments in the product's formulation.

  • Great for kitty's tummy!!!
Size: 6 Pounds (Pack of 1) Style: Cat Food
Why did you pick this product vs others?: My cat isn't the hugest fan, but he's been SO much healthier since switching 3 years ago. Smells a tiny bit like chocolate if you close your eyes lol. ...and 1 billion times better than the smell of any wet food. YUCK!!!!!! that stuff stinks to no end.

  • Royal Canin, life saving and entertaining
Size: 6 Pounds (Pack of 1) Style: Cat Food
I have never actually tried the food myself, but our cats love it. We call the food "cheerios" because of their shape, and when we go to feed our cats, we call the cats and tell them it's time for their "cheerios". They always get excited to eat, which is a big deal because we have had to switch foods a couple times because one of our cats went on strike and would not eat anything we brought home. Royal Canin digestive cat food has been a life saver and a great source of entertainment. ... show more

  • Pricey but worth it!
Size: 6 Pounds (Pack of 1) Style: Cat Food
I call these my "Cat Cheerios" because of their shape, and also because I love Cheerios -- & my cats seem to agree! I feed a wide variety of foods to my 6 cats - mostly wet. Of all the dry food brands I use, they like this the best. It's pricey, but Royal Canin produces quality food backed by scientific research - something I highly value! ... show more

  • Wish it was in bigger bags
Size: 6 Pounds (Pack of 1) Style: Cat Food
I really really wish this came in larger quantities. My cats like the food fine and the larger size I think helps reduce the vomiting from one of mine who eats way too fast. The only downside really is it is somewhat expensive and you cannot buy a very large bag, but it is quality food and they eat it so I am going to keep sticking with this for them ... show more

  • Shaped for Chewing
Size: 6 Pounds (Pack of 1) Style: Cat Food
I have a long-haired ginger cat who has issues with hairballs. I've tried different brands and formulas to help her and found these to be her favorite. The shape is round with a hole in the middle which apparently helps her to break up the food rather than swallowing it whole. All I know is that she gets excited when I tell her, "Gilly, donuts!" and put them in her bowl! During the Pandemic, Royal Canin was out of these and I scrambled to find a replacement. Nothing really satisfied her like these. I was so happy when they returned to stock, but disappointed to find they were making the kibble "fatter" in shape instead of flat like before. Nonetheless, she continues to eat these on a daily basis and it keeps her regular with fewer hairballs. ... show more
