  • Kindly Tip 1: When you start using the pump, submerge the pump fully in water at a slight angle. Hold it underwater for 2030 seconds to allow all trapped air to escape. Failure to remove air may prevent the pump from starting or discharging water properly.
  • Kindly Tip 2: The device is not designed for continuous operation (e.g., as a circulation pump for ponds), as such use will significantly reduce the pump's service life. After each use, the impeller should be flushed to prevent sand and other debris from clogging the internal shaft.
  • 1HP High Power: Prostormer Sump Pump uses 1HP power, which is more efficient than ordinary 3/4HP sump pump; Max 3500GPH rating tackles any draining job at a fraction of the time
  • Multi Outlet Sizes: 3 different diameters outlets (1 inch ,1-1/4 inch, 1-1/2 inch) to adapte for different size hoses as needed according to the flow rate. The bigger the flow is, the wider the outlet should be
  • Manual Mode: Set the switch to the MANUAL positon the pump will now not automatically switch off but carry out pumping, even if theremaining water level is reached and the pump runs dry. You should cut off the power immediately to prevent the coil from getting burned
  • Automated Mode: Set the switch to the AUTO position. Once you have plugged the device into the socket, the pump will switch on automatically when the water exceeds the start-level and switch off when the stop-level hasbeen obtained.this means that the pump can be left on at all times and will keep the waterin a cellar or boat, for example, at the required level.bear in mind that this pump is notdesigned to be used continuously, it must be switched off at regular intervals

  • Great Pump
Style: 1HP
UPDATE! 7/16/2025 After almost a year now we guesstamated over 800 hours and it still pumps water. This pump in on a concrete block 2' 19" deep inside a 55 gallon drum with the top cut off and the bottom side up with a hinged door. It has pumped sand and leaves with more water than I can imagine from storms, hurricanes and a broken pipe for a week. I am buying another one just like it to be sure we don't flood out. After all that it has done I can not trust it to keep going. It has paid for itself more times than I can count. Used it for an automatic lift station for my new french drain. Out of the box it pumped far more water than expected but the auto would not function without shaking the pump. This was during a 4 inch downpour. Took it out of the hole, tinkered with the float and it began the auto great as seen in the video. Checked it today and the hole was filled, pump completely submerged. Shook it and bang! It began working perfectly again. The problem is, I am not going out in a Florida thunderstorm to kick-start it every time. I'll keep it for something later, but it's getting replaced with a REAL, reliable automatic sump pump. ... show more

  • Update 1 year later...Works like a champ!!
Style: 1HP
Update 1 year later... I have used this pump several times over the winter to drain water off my pool cover. It has worked flawlessly. This is hands down the best pump I've owned! Once you figure out your hose size connection, you're golden. I purchased a Superior Pump heavy duty 1.5" 25' lay flat discharge hose kit with 1.25, 1.5 discharge size. Clamp with a hose clamp and let it rip. I haven't had any debris that the pump will not mulch and suck through yet with no damage to the pump. I am particularly fond of the auto feature that shuts the pump off when the water level is too low to pump. I can walk away from it and forget about it. I highly recommend!! My pump showed up today, and I put it straight to work. Instructions weren't terrible, but could be a little clearer. I figured out the initial startup and air purge without any issues. It's a hefty little sucker, and for being plastic appears quite sturdy and we'll built. The two adapters that come with it seem thick and sturdy as well. If you're looking to hook up a yard hose to it then you're in luck. It will screw right on there with the supplied reducer. I bought it because of the 1 hp motor, and high flow rate, and I wanted to use a 1 1/2 inch hose. Unfortunately, the adapters that came with it are only reducers fro 1 12 inches. Now granted, the largest diameter reducer is 1 1/4 inches, so I cut off the excess smaller end and the hose fit with a hose clamp with some minor leakage. It did not appear to affect the pumping suction though. I will go purchase a threaded coupler from the hardware store and use the 1 1/2 inch adapter that I already have. Not a big deal really. I bought it to finish draining my pool for a deep clean. My old Wayne pump that I've had for years and rebuilt a couple of times finally decided to croak for good leaving about 2 ft of water in a 24 ft round pool. I was about to spend about 4 times more than this pump costs, and I thought for the price, why not? So I hooked up the hose, purged the air, and plugged it up. This sucker is a hoss!! It completely filled the 1.5 inch hose and started throwing some water! It drained the remaining water in under an hr. One note if you're not paying attention to detail...it only drains down to 3/4 inch. If you're looking for lower than that, look elsewhere. It was perfect for my needs. On a positive note, it will suck debris up to 1/2 inch, and I can tell you it does it effectively without any snafu's! Oh yeah, another plus is that it's very quiet which is nice. The only real downside that I see to this pump is the topside discharge. Once your water gets low enough, the weight of the hose will tip it over. So I had to babysit it for a bit close to the end. I believe that I will solve this by making a hard vertical pvc pipe with a 90 at the top with an extension to attach the hose to. It will be a fairly cheap fix and work well I think. You could adapt that setup to any situation that you have. Overall, I would highly recommend this pump after first use!! It performed flawlessly! The price point is unbeatable for a 3500 gal/ hr pump and a 1 hp motor. I will update after I've used it a few more times, but for now...5 stars!! ... show more

Lasted just about 2 years til the day. Plastic area gets brittle and starts to fade and crack. Had issue with mice chewing thru cord. Open it up because it stopped working and inside motor showing rust, smelled like it burnt out. had it on automatic setting.

  • It Pumps.... That is about where it ends.
Style: 1HP
I have a sump pit I installed. Now "Gravity" will allow this pit to let water flow out but only after it fills to almost full. So in my case, it's kind of a fail over. Only if we get heavy rain do I even worry about it. That said, i wanted to put a pump in to help keep it lower because the GROUND around (and even under) my house/basement is saturated and I wanted to try and help it out quicker (relatively speaking). Additionally, I want to be able to avoid the overflow of my sump (natural drainage) on the heavier flow. THus I needed a Sump that would come on/off automatically. This one looked like a good fit. I purchased it, got the appropriate adapters needed to hook up my hose (for now) and let it go. Worked like a charm. After about a week, of going down and checking on it periodically, I started to notice that my sump basin was near full (at the level where it would drain naturally out the top pipe). The pump SHOULD have been running and SHOULD have come on when the basin is only about a third of the way full. Just shaking the hose attached to the sump, which jarred the sump pump, was enough to cause it to kick on. Then it would work fine (on and off) for a short period. (It's easy for my to check because I get about .5 gallons of constant flow into my sump basin on a regular basis). However it eventually would no longer come on. I left for almost a week to go hunting, came home after a few good rain storms, went to my basement and the floor was all wet. We had gotten enough rain to overwhelm my sump basin's natural draining (without the pump) which is why I want the sump pump in the first place. I tried to like this pump. I like it's power, I like how well it pumps out. I like how quiet it is, but in the end, I need a reliable pump that will turn on and off reliably, and this pump is NOT it. If it cannot do the main thing for which I needed it for, it's no good to me. I submitted my return/refund request and will look for a different model. ... show more

  • Excellent find.
Style: 1HP
I was worried that at the cost this might not be able to handle water that had debris in it (dirty, bugs, leaves, etc.). It works very well - at least on the manual setting. I don't use it on the automatic setting.

  • 1 month oump
Style: 1HP
Used it in my crawl space for storm water. It work good for about 1 month now it won't come on at all. It pumped very few times during that month also. It was set on automatic and I watched to make sure it would turn off and it did so I know it wasn't running continuously. Very disappointed at this product ... show more

  • Float panel modification
Style: 1HP
Worked fine through hurricane Milton. Here it is about 9 months later had a big rain and it did not automatically start up. I tilted it and it started right up. The float was not rising to the top to activate the switch. There was an air pocket in the front float area so I removed the float area cover and drilled 4 small holes in it to release any air that may get trapped in the chamber around the float. Started filling the pit with water and the pump came on automatically. Tested 4 times, looks like the issue has been resolved. The cover that is around the float was set in there so tightly that no air could escape. Just in time for the next hurricane season. ... show more
