I purchased this pump to drain water heaters. It was awesome on the first use (no extension cords or receptacle needed). Emptied an 80-gallon water heater in about 12-15 minutes. Makes the job quicker with less stuff to keep up with.

    • great transfer pump for all fluids
I use it for oils and gas. The instructions and package say for fresh water but the engineers are Milwaukee must have had their coffee because they made it from materials that are impervious to petroleum products. I wanted a transfer pump to change out the 12 gallons of hydraulic fluid on my tractor, pump gas from winter stored machinery and other things. This pump has a very gentle flow rate that won't have you struggling to catch a whipping hose gushing oils all over the place, as will those pumps with 16GPM flow rates. I clean it with soapy water after use so that it's ready for anything. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I had to replace a water heater that was below grade, so draining options were less than ideal. I decided to buy this thing and I am sure glad that I did! I popped a 12AH battery in and let it rip. It pumped with ease...it's rated up to a temp of 140 so I wasn't worried at all. If you find yourself needing a transfer pump every once in awhile AND already have 18v Milwaukee batteries..then this tool is a no brainier! ... show more
