Description

The WaterWorker pre-charged tanks utilize a butyl composite diaphragm, which flexes up and down based on water level and air pressure, as the pump fills the tank with water the air above the diaphragm is compressed, increasing the pressure in the tank until the pump cut-off pressure is reached. When water is drawn from the tank, the pressure inside the tank decreases until the pressure switch starts the pump. The amount of usable water for every pump cycles is called drawdown. The greater drawn-down capacity you select, the less your pump cycles saving energy, money, and extending your pump life. Advantages over galvanized well tanks: Pre-charged tanks do not have water-logging problems like the galvanized tanks. The air and water are totally separated using a diaphragm. No external air controls needed. Pre-charged tanks have a much larger draw-down for the same physical size. Larger draw down reduces pump cycles and pump wear, i.e. at 30/50 PSIG range three times the draw-down for pre-charged tanks of the same physical size. Pre-charged Tanks completely empty during each pump cycle. Pre-charged Tanks are much smaller and easier to handle that galvanized well tanks. Pre- charged tanks with a 30/50 Pressure Switch would be one-third the size of a galvanized tank with the same drawdown. Deep Well Jet Pumps could use either a vertical tank or a horizontal tank, depending on space requirements and sizing. Submersible Pump applications would usually use vertical tanks, again based on proper sizing. Shallow Well Jet Pumps could use vertical or horizontal tanks, based on proper sizing. The rule of thumb in sizing is to count the number of fixtures in the home, i.e. sinks, showers, toilets, dishwasher, faucets, washing machines, outside faucets, etc. and multiply it by 3. Example: a house with 11 fixtures x 3 would be 33-Gallon tank. We would suggest our 44-Gallon tank, which is the next larger sized tank. • Works well in a larger home
Bladder tank arrived with no damage ( no dents/ scratches) in timely fashion. Installation was completed and system was pressurized with no issues. Item works as presented and restored water pressure. Pump does not cycle now as pressurized bladder and tank works well.

  • Huge Improvement from former system
It was easy to DIY install, it worked right away. The pressure and flow is wonderful and a huge improvement over the previous tank. UPDATE: Five months later and still working great!

  • Beaten up during shipping.
Arrived with large dents all over it. Works well so far.

  • Good Quality Tank / Fits in tite places
I am giving this a 5 star rating due to replacing the one in my house and is exactly the very same one that I am purchasing from here. I have a tite area that this tank needs to fit and is one of the only 30 gallon that will fit being 15 inches across. Old one lasted 9 years before the blatter started leaking. I certainly hope I get the longevity and durability out of this new WaterWorker tank and is a good value. Oh and one more thing, I seen a few bad reviews for damage in shipping and I was a little paranoid but wanted the same tank as I was pulling out and mine came to me in perfect 🥰 condition. Just follow the directions on install and setting pressure on tank. Don't rely on the preset pressure being 28 lbs as mine had 34 lbs and needed a little bled off. Very happy with my water pressure and how little the pump comes on. I do like that it is made in the USA 🇺🇸. ... show more

  • Lasted 6 or 7 years
So I noticed the water pressure was low so I go move the tank and feel it filled full of water. I live in Florida, all these years it was covered with a tarp. Its pure trash, same thing happened with my well pumps, I was cheap got the box store ones and they would get trashed after 3 years so I switched them both well pumps to Myers. The well pump has 15+ years on it and the other one that pumps it from the tank into the house has 4+ years. The latter is made in china, but its rebuildable, time will tell. Not feeding these companies that make their products to fail anymore. Very bad value to be throwing out 300 bucks plus your labor on a tank with crap diaphragm. Time to do my research and look for a rebuildable one ore something that lasts at least 20 years. ... show more

  • Came In Good Shape With No Dents And Had Pressure In The Tank
I ordered this brand because it was rated very highly by a review service. However, I was concerned after reading old reviews on this tank that the bladder would be defective and the outside would have dents in the metal. To my amazement, the tank came clean in an undamaged box, had a smooth dent-free tank exterior, and had the right amount of pressure already installed. When I removed the old leaking tank, the installation went smoothly. The T assembly fit perfectly into the hole cut out of the support base that was securely welded to the bottom of the tank and had the right sized 1” elbow already attached at the bottom. When finished, I rechecked the air pressure inside and discovered it to be a perfect 28 lbs for my 30/50 pressure switch replacement. The output is stronger than ever and I have had no spitting air coming out of the faucets when the check valve is opened to the house. ... show more
