although I was skeptical about the 1/4 hp when my wife bought this, I was extremely impressed because the power was just right to keep a steady flow of water out of the pool so it’s easy to maneuver the hose to different areas of the yard to dispose of the water without pooling it up. I was also amazed that it took algae and some debris up and through the hose and really brought the water down well below a centimeter even though it’s advertised not to go that far. The only thing I would do different if I was doing my pool, I would dig a deeper hole at one and so that the pump would fit into it and my pool would slope down to the area to gather and let the pump do it’s work! ... show more

This is a great little pump at a good price. I used it to descale my mother's tankless water heater. I ran it for 45 minutes to circulate vinegar and it worked very well. It is a quiet but powerful pump. Seems to be decent quality for the price.
