We ran into a slight issue during first assembly where it looked like they upgraded a part but neglected to include the proper connector for the larger connections. The old-smaller-connector was included, so I know it must have been either an error or newly upgraded component and an oversight. Kind of inconvenient, but seller promptly express shipped the required component at no charge - 5 stars for customer service. If I would have needed it sooner, I probably could have sourced the part locally, but they were nice enough to send it at no charge. As for the pump - This thing moves the water! It does work well to pump water at a good pace. It does have a valve to limit the water flow, if needed. I am still unsure (didn't ask) whether or not the pump can handle a hose nozzle on/off without hurting the pump. I tested it and it seems like it goes to a lower power mode when the valve is off and kicks up when the valve is opened, but never shuts off. So you for sure need to unplug it when you're done using it. I really like the handle as you can adjust it to sit the proper distance down in a rain barrel. It also has a grate to avoid sucking in anything that my hurt the impeller which is super easy to open and clean, if needed. Not sure on longevity, but for ease of use and function, this gets 5 stars. If it fails before summers over I'll be sure to update the review.

So far it’s working great on my rain barrel. Only problem is it’s not sturdy enough to pick and leave it. I wish that it had a strong pipe and water also coming out from the same pipe.

Very happy with this little pump. I’d given up on using a hose and spray nozzle with my rain barrel, but I knew I was in good shape when I plugged it in and water immediately shot out. And it keeps up a decent water pressure even through the hose. It does leak slightly at some of the joints, but not enough to be concerning. Overall, it’s been a lifesaver.

I did quite a bit of research before buying this product. I bought it because I strained my hip and back from repeatedly having to fill and carry watering cans with the water from my rain barrels. So far, I have only needed to use it once, but I am very pleased with its design and that it works as advertised. I was able to water over 50 feet of hose length with the power remaining strong. It is extremely quiet, so I don't have to worry about disturbing the neighbors. I did need to buy a hose adapter to connect to my hose. On the downside, the only way to turn it off is to pull out the plug--in either manual or automatic mode. The pump continues to run even if the water valve is turned to the off position. It appears to leak when the water valve is turned off--I need to see if this happens when I use it again.

Edit update: I've add this pump for a few months and the quality is somewhat lacking. Although I can hear the pump turn on while in the rain barrel, it's not pumping water out for some reason. This necessitates I walk back and forth from the outlet to try testing the unit to turn it on and off by pulling the plug. It seems to work intermittently and today it seemed to be working fine for a period until the sensor fell below the water level. I went to override it by securing the sensor to the unit itself and it still didn't turn back on. A little frustrating that it doesn't consistently work and when it doesn't, there doesn't appear to be a clear indicator why. I have rain barrels that I had been struggling to fully utilize and was hand watering using a bucket that kept breaking apart on me. This pump is incredible! It's quiet, has strong flow, easy to use and put together. My only complaint is I wish it had an on/off switch vs unplugging the unit to turn it off. This has definitely changed my watering habits and can now increase my water catchment system. I've only used it once and I was the happiest gardener ever. I'll update my post if anything changes but I'd recommend this pump for moving water from your rain barrel to your plants 🪴
