This was a really cool find that works with all my DeWalt batteries that I have for my standard tools. I bought this because I have a big fountain that is a pain to clean. What used to take me close to an hour, I can now do in 15-20 minutes. Because this thing is battery operated, I don’t need the shop/vac or an extension cord. I also don’t need to dump out the shop vac multiple times or clean the shop vac afterwards. Here’s how it works -you submerge the intake end in the liquid, push the button and watch it blast out of the output nozzle which is threaded. You could attach a hose to it. It comes with a flexible clear tube that’s about 5 feet long. And it included a couple adjustable clamps for that tubing. The battery is housed in an enclosure to assure it stays dry. Because my fountain is in the middle of my garden, I don’t even bother with a hose. The pump sprays the water a good 10 feet!

So I bought this pump over a year ago and did not expect it to perform as well as it did. I bought it for use in my Jr. Sailing Program and usually we buy products with the intent that they are only going to last 3-6 months due to the rigorous nature of the program, but this pump has outlasted the odds. No corrosion despite mainly pumping saltwater, works efficiently and saves me time, and is by far one the best purchases I have made for my YC haha. Max battery size that you can fit in it is a 5aH though, but other than that, works great!

I have a drywell that overflows and a boat cover that seems to stay full of water no matter what i do to keep it out. Previously I had a cheap, self priming transfer pump that (allegedly) has a higher flowrate than this pump. That cruddy transfer pump took FOREVER to pump out, was corded, and never could get enough suction to get the last few inches of water. This one however solves literally all my issues. I can easily connect a hose to it with head pressure to move it through a long hose with kinks and curves. I can drain the boat cover in less than 10 minutes rather than the nearly hour process the old pump made it. I can leave it and not worry about it burning itself out since it auto shuts off. Great flow rate, very light, very durable so far, doesnt clog easy, is QUIET oh my gosh its so quiet and I love it. My two complaints with it are: 1. The auto shut off should have an option to either extend the runtime longer or disable the shutoff entirely. With a battery powered device I do understand this isn't the intended use of it, but it would be nice for me personally. 2. The battery compartment should be slightly taller to accommodate larger batteries. Only the smallest and the next size up dewalt batteries fit. I cant use any of my craftsman batteries with an adapter with this thing. Again, personal preference and not a fault of the device so no points deducted, just an "I wish".

I use this to empty my ducks ponds. It’s quick and easy to use. Best purchase I’ve made in awhile. I wish I would have got it sooner, it’s made changing the water in the pools and little pond a breeze. We have 2 big plastic pools and one small inground pond and it empties all three, barely using any of the battery.

Honestly, this is a pretty solid little machine. A lot of devices that claim interoperability w Dewalt batteries require you to really force the battery into place. This one takes the battery really easily as though it’s a Dewalt product. Decent power and efficiency, and doesn’t drain the battery too quickly. 4/5 because the pump continues to switch “off” automatically after about 10 seconds (when it’s first switched “on”)… but after actively switching it back to “on” again, it stays on… just have to wait out that initial moment it switches off each time.
