By far the best shedding! Yeaaa it comes in a wierd wrap but it is so good and dust free for your chicks! And it’s safe edible as well. I really like these wood chips for my chicken coop. They smell great and the chickens don’t kick them around or make nearly the mess they do with hay or other bedding materials. The only downside is the packaging—they come really tightly packed and take a bit of time to break apart and spread out. I really appreciate the packaging. It keeps it so you can save space if you don’t have to use it all at once. I am using it just in nesting boxes(2) right now and while I fluffed up one of the 3 vacuum sealed pieces I didn’t need most of that so it should last me for a bit. Also, because you have to fluff it helps you to go through the shavings carefully and grab any pieces that might not be soft enough or too long (there were not many) My chickens already laid eggs on it and seem to enjoy it. There is nothing wrong with the shaving themselves, but they are provided in a vacuum packed bag the size of a sheet of paper. When you but the bag there is a lot of material. Where do you store it??? I personally did not have an available container to put this in when I opened it. You need that to actually break it apart. It would be good if they included in the vacuum pack a large self sealing transparent bag that you could pull out of the packaging and then put all the material inside.
