  • Don't just Think it - DO IT
This is simply the best desk chair I have ever sat in. I have spent 8-10 hours a day in a SteelCase Think for the last three years and finally saved up the money to put one in my home office. It is truly everything that is advertised. Not only is it perfectly supportive in all the right places, it is light to move around and it looks very professional. If you are looking for the perfect office/desk chair, look no further - You cannot go wrong with the Think! ... show more

  • Beware, chair is not as described!
Color: Nickel/Black
This product does not have the mesh fabric that is in the description or is shown. The back and chair are the same fabric. You think you are getting the upgraded mesh, but you are not. Otherwise, the chair is very comfortable.

  • I just don't like my Think Chair
I bought this chair on the basis of all the glowing recommendations from other purchasers. As others have stated, the chair is quite adjustable, and can be comfortable for short periods of time. However, I am just not enamored with the chair back. I bought the adjustable lumbar support, but I cannot get it to go high enough to actually support the lumbar region of my back. The highest it will go is right at the top of my hip bones, probably 3-4" too low. I am tall (6' 2"), but I have a hard time believing that the architecture of my back is really that different from the norm. I ended up jamming the lumbar support as low as it would go, just to get it out of the way. I absolutely despise the chair back itself. Rather than a conventional padded back, the Think Chair has multiple tensioned wires that run horizontally, covered by a thin mesh. After a few hours in this chair, these wires really start to irritate my back, because they don't distribute the pressure evenly. When sitting in the chair I am supported by only 15 of these wires, and I can feel them pressing into my back. After a while it feels like they have cut off circulation. I have resorted to placing a thick blanket over the back of the chair in hopes that it will distribute the load more evenly. I am pretty skinny, so maybe I am the problem rather than the chair. All in all I am disappointed in this chair, and wish I had purchased something else. That was $768 not well spent. ... show more

  • lumbar won't budge
Color: Black
This chair is somewhat disappointing. This is the second one I have purchased-- the old one does not have lumbar support. I cannot get the lumbar support on this new chair to budge and it is too high. The company says you just reach behind you and pull it down...not so. Also, I'm 5'3'' and the chair is too tall for me on its lowest setting. I had to buy a footrest. One the other hand, I find the mesh back to be extremely comfortable and much better than an executive style office chair. The seat is also very comfortable. I'm just very frustrated that I can't get the lumbar to move and can't find any instructions for fixing it online. ... show more

  • Expensive but worth it
Not sure why it is as expensive as it is, other than perhaps it was engineered for the harsh environment that is an office (While I have never seen one of these chairs break, the connection of the back to the base is plastic) There is another model similar to this one, but it does not have sideways sliding adjustable arm rests. I have had this particular chair in two different jobs and have spent many many hours sitting in this chair so it seemed natural to have one at home. Some people complain about feeling the wires on the back, but I haven't noticed them. 4 stars because of the price. But I bought it because I it works, for me, better than the half dozen other chairs I've tried. ... show more

  • nice chair, good buying experience
Color: Black
This was an expensive purchase and I was a little nervous about buying an office chair online, but shouldn't have been. The chair arrived quickly, well packed and in perfect condition. It was easy to assemble -- just put the arms on, they click into place, and it's done. Very satisfied.
