This is my fourth pair of Avalon slip Ons. The top of the heel is too tall, or taller than it used to be and rubs right below my ankle bones. I tried to just let them wear in but every time I wear them to work I have to be careful with where I walk because every step I take it rubs and hurts.

I had some Toms I was trying to replace. My old ones were so comfortable and I never wore socks with them. So far, these hurt me on my achilles area and cause blisters. I wondered if they need to be broken in. On the plus side, they are really cute and the neutral gray color goes with a lot.

I never wear anything other than TOMS Avalon’s. Seriously. I have about twelve pairs from over the years and I buy a new pair every 6 months or so in a different color/pattern. I typically walk a few miles a day in them (no socks) and my feet never hurt. There are very few things in life I am devoted to as much as I am to this shoe. Really like this casual shoe for sumner. They fit true to size, but are a little large in the heel area. Surprisingly good arch support for this type of shoe. Great neutral color.
