We built a catio and this was just what we needed to finish it off. We hung it right in the middle from one of the beams. The heater has a switch on the side. After the switch is turned on, you can change the heating and light by touching the touch power button near the light. Touching will cycle through, low, medium, high, high with light and light only. It also has a remote. Make sure to save the remote...it's the only way to have light and low or medium heat. The heating elements do give off a good bit of light all on their own. The remote only has low and high heat, but you can get to medium by pressing low and then high, I think. I forget the order, but it can be done. We are loving having the heater for when we play cards outside. It gives off enough warmth to be toasty. Happy reviewer.

I know this heater is intended for use on the patio or maybe a porch, and I may move it to the gazebo temporarily if it isn't too rainy this fall. But the primary location I'll use this heater is in the garage. The winters can be long in the Pacific Northwest and I spend a lot of time in the garage working on my toys or some home project. I normally use a space heater of some kind but they are generally inadequate. Though it is still warmish here (high 60s), I can tell this baby cranks out some serious BTUs. I'm glad that is has a remote because once the garage is heated I'll likely need to make adjustments and the remote makes that simple. The heater is easy to move around so I can hang it in the best spot depending on which toy I'm working on. I have a feeling though that once this baby starts working, it won't matter too much where I hang it because it will heat the entire garage in pretty short order. It will also light up a large area, which is welcome in the garage but could be a problem in a more subdued and relaxed location, like the gazebo. Overall, this is a great heater for my needs and it looks good too.

This is a great addition to our patio. We had a standing heater but it was just so bulky so this is a great alternative. Set up is easy and it pumps out a lot of heat. It looks nice as well and appears to be pretty solid quality. The remote is a bit eh....the distance is a bit weak in my opinion but not the end of the world. Overall pretty happy! Looking forward to fall!!!!

Product did not put an enough heat and stopped working after the second use. Now I’m 1 week past their 30 day warranty and stuck with an expensive product that doesn’t work.

We have nigerian dwarf goats for milk. This winter I wanted some heat in our milking area. This heater is perfect. It will easily heat our milking area. After my husband seen how good it is he wants one to put in his shop. It's well made, easy to control with a remote. Works exceptionally well. It will definitely keep us warm in the below freezing weather while we spend a couple hours milking all out goats each morning and again each evening.

This electric patio heater has a nice bronze look. It comes with a length of chain to hang the heater & it's lightweight. The heater comes with a remote control that requires a CR2025 battery (NOT INCLUDED). The heater has 3 heat settings & you can feel the heat almost immediately. It definitely provides a good amount of heat. The bottom of the heater has an LED light built in. The light is not dimmable & is really only usable if the heater is not on. Once the heater is turned on, the heater tubes are so bright that it's like looking at the sun & the LED is not even noticeable at that point. The heater looks very nice & it outputs a lot of heat but if heater is turned on at night, the heating tubes are so bright that a diffuser below the halogen heating tubes would be a great addition to this heater. As for the LED light, it would be much better if it was dimmable.

As I mentioned in my headline this thing puts off a lot of heat, but the more important aspect is the fact that even in a breeze it still has a pretty good radius of coverage. I would absolutely recommend this!
