Assembly was easy enough, although I noticed right away the cord wasn't very long, which is fine an extension cord fixes that issue. If I had any true recommendations for the manufacturer it would be these 2 things; 1. make the cord longer for people who do not want to have to use an extension cord 2. in the instructions be more clear about what the actual heat settings provide instead of what you would like to claim they provide. This lamp does provide great heat output, especially in enclosed spaces. We use it under our gazebo, and it's safe enough to do that, which a firepit isn't safe enough to do. It has basically 2 heat settings, warm and warmer. We live in the high desert so it stays cold here longer than most places, so it's good to have this in the early mornings or evenings. Puts out good light too and being that it's a heat source, the light does start to attract bugs, but it's so hot, they don't even bother. I do recommend this heat lamp, it works well and has survived our first late winter months which can somewhat still be harsh. I hope this review is helpful.

It seems like the manufacture is confused or doesn't even know their own product... The description here says it has an option from 750W to 1500W. The manual on page 5 says "This unit is equipped with 3 heat settings 700W/800W/1500W" but then it goes on to say pull the switch cord once for 700W, and then "twice times" (Chinese Engrish?) for 1500W. As far as I know, there is only two settings. If you're not in an enclosed space, this won't warm up a patio. You have to be literally standing under it, so it's more for one person than making everyone warm. Also, this is like a lamp so it will really light up the surroundings, which can be good or bad depending on your intentions (not good if you just want to warm up in a darker setting) I don't like how short the power cable is; you need an extension cable and of course if you're going to be powering 1500W heater, you need a reliable cable. I'm not a fan of the old fashion pull string; would have preferred a simple switch to easily turn off or switch between high/low modes instead of having to keep pulling.

The media could not be loaded. Very nice outdoor electric heater. The cord is not long so I had to use an extension cord. The heat has two settings warm and warmer. It heats up in seconds! Very easy to put together and sturdy. I had it on at night on my deck and it was very cozy and warm!! Great addition to any patio or deck!

I acquired this because I have a nice and enclosed canopy outside with some outdoor furniture in which I obviously can not put a fire heater (have a couple of those in the yard)...I hate cold weather so much that anything below 90 degrees it's too cold for me (just kidding). I just tested this on a 10 × 15 feet enclosed canopy and it does a decent job keeping 150 squared feet warm. Yes, the cable is not too long, so you will definitely need a commercial electrical extension for it. The best characteristic is that it is heavy built. Very strong and sturdy. Got to love this!

This patio heater has a great design. You can make it three separate heights but the biggest strike against it is, every pole you extend, it lessens the cord length. Thankfully it's not too big of a deal to get an extension hooked on! The base has a mounting bracket if you plan on keeping it in a permanent spot. Personally I'll be moving mine around a bit, and not in the direct path of the elements. I tested it on a windy night with five people huddled around at different distances and we were all pleased at the heat that radiated from this!

Wow, this is so awesome. Heavy and sturdy and expensive looking. Absolutely;y love it and being non-propane savvy I love the simplicity of plugging this in as it is total electric. Has a deep chocolate color that is gorgeous. No one I have had over on my patio has seen anything like it. Very impressive and I forgot to mention it warms the area really well like a space heater with a bit more power. Can't say enough about these.

The Star Electric Patio Heater really gets the job done! Its been a great addition to have on our patio. Weve been able to utilize that space a lot more in the evenings now, for dinners on the grill and morning coffee on the porch swing. It was easy to get set up and has functioned properly thus far without any issues. Its a great value for the money and Im very pleased with its performance!

Very nice Patio Heater! Super solid, level and well made. Worked the first day we put it out and it came pretty late in the evening. Has no issue with high winds, stays perfectly in place, which is good for where we live. Makes a good size area nice and warm and underneath it is like sitting by a fireplace. Super good price for how well this is made, highly recommend.
