I live as a digital nomad in a school bus I converted to a tiny home on wheels. From the start, I've been collecting and using the water from the two mini-split units I have onboard that run pretty much 24/7. They put out enough water to fill a 55 gallon barrel in 2 to 3 days depending on where I am. I struggled to used it for drinking water due to the dusty smell and taste (which makes sense considering where the water is coming off of) and I have been hesitant to add any chemicals to the water. Well, I decided to give this stuff a try and within an hour, most of the dusty taste and odor was gone from the water. I did use a little extra than it stated because I know the water will be getting used and refilled at a steady rate. Of course, I also use uv lights to keep the water clear, and I do filter the water through a countertop filtering tank (before, I could taste the dusty odor and taste even through that filter). I feel pretty safe using this and will add plenty of it to my supplies. I've loved never having to once stop to get water and can shower every single day (and do laundry and run my dishwasher), and now I won't have to suffer through the taste of my water-saving efforts. I'm going to add a whole-home 5 stage filtration system, but wanted to be sure I could rid the water of the odors with my simple single filter countertop filtered pitcher first before I invested in the larger unit. With this stuff, I'm excitedly looking forward to that purchase. Oh... maybe it's just me, but there is no chlorine or salt-like taste with this. There is no taste at all. The directions said the taste can be strong, but I guess it's one of those things that some people may be sensitive to and some people may not be. Since this is being used to treat the water before it gets filtered, though, I'm not really too worried about ever tasting it. Our camper had a rotten egg smell that was coming from the water, definitely not the drains. Even when we drained and refilled the tank we could get rid of the smell. Our camper was already at camp with a tank full of water so we didn’t even do the directions right. I wasn’t sure how big our tank was so I poured about 3/4 of it into the tank! This was the solution to the stinky water in our rv holding tank. We had very bad smelling water in our holding tank after it was there for me than a week. Using this at the next fillup made the water smell like water. No chlorine smell, no wierd taste, just water.

Didn't think it would work, but tried it and was pleasantly surprised it worked. Use total bottle, split into three fill ups. About 40 gallons each time. Second fill up smell was gone. Bought for the 40 gallon water tank on my boat. Used to use half a cup of bleach at the beginning of the season and flush the tank multiple times which was a pain. Tried this this season and was pleasantly surprised with how well it works.
