I use it in my orchid mix potting media to increase aeration around the roots. Works great and it's better than perlite because it doesn't crumble over time.

I purchased these to replace the very heavy lava rock that came with my small round outdoor firepit that I use when I RV. I didnt want anything as large as the lava rock or as small as pebbles. Based on the image for this product I thought this would work. The product came on time and well packaged, however none of the granules was any larger than a dime despite the picture using a quarter to compare sizes. I returned the product unused and purchased the larger sized rocks.

These are not white as advertised but suited my needs just fine. I had blue glass in my fire pit before so these are a big improvement. They are a tan color and are covered in thick dust that I’d recommend rinsing off before you use them.
