Description

Stanbroil Fire Pit Gas Burner Spark Ignition Kit will turn your manual ignition fire pit, fireplace, gas burner into an easy to start push button ignition. This battery operated igniter will cause a spark to ignite the gas when you depress the button. The key to a good installation is the ground. You must screw igniter bracket solidly and directly to the burner pan. Keep the igniter area relatively clear of embers, rocks, fire glass ect. You can create a void around the igniter using a screen. This void will fill with gas and ignite much easier than an igniter covered in fire glass, ect. The stainless steel face plate will give you a professional mounting for both your push button as your chrome keyed shut off ball valve. Tips for installation Run both wires up through the pan from the bottom using any pre-existing hole. Mount the sparker close as possible to to one of the outer gas holes. The key to a good spark is a good ground so make sure that you sandwich one wire between the pan and the bracket. The other ends connect to the push button block. Insert the battery and push the button.

5 stars all day! This is a mounted valve panel with a built-in ignition clicker. Not a regulating assembly. Know that going in! Yea, I can turn down the keyed valve and throttle my propane, but that’s just fine and what I expected. I bought this assembly to go along with the Stanbroil 6” x 60” fire pit tray/insert. I hard plumbed it underground to our tank that also feeds our outdoor kitchen. Zero problems whatsoever. Pretty sure the negative reviewers are just not familiar with common gas plumbing. In any event, this is a legit setup for the price. I will add though- the air mixer body does not come with your fire pit insert, nor does it come with the ignition panel. If you’re burning propane, you WILL need this. Don’t sweat it bro- $11… All things considered, I’m still wondering why it comes with a 4” - 90° return on the stainless panel. I cut that off with a skinny wheel and shaped it off with a flap disc so i could face mount it on my fiber cement siding. Associated pictures are for the beta run. Net effect… I’ve got a best friend that works in HVAC; he told me he couldn’t beat that number on a Napoleon unit. Go for it. ... show more

    • Quality product but igniter is not great
Quality product but I couldn't get the igniter to work with my Liquid Propane setup. You'd have to try to bend the 2 prongs so that they are hovering very close to one of the gas pin holes of your burner ring. Instead I bought the FPK Push Button Ignition Kit from Woodland Direct, because it is a single prong igniter that creates a spark between the prong and the fire ring. Then I used a Dremel to widen the hole in this bracket in order to mount the other Igniter button in it. Turned out good. The gas valve of this Stanbroil product is excellent, and this Stanbroil metal bracket is perfect for mounting to your firepit. ... show more

This was exactly what we needed to complete our project. With a little extra ingenuity I was able to drill a hole through one of our cement bricks and mount this. I did need some PVC sprinkler parts to extend the valve from the finish chrome piece to connect it. Worked well.

I've used over a dozen of these kits in plumbing granite fire features - along side Stanbroil's fire pans and stainless flex lines. They look nice and for the price they are an excellent value. I've found Stanbroil's customer service to be responsive and they back up their products.
