This product is not only well made but very nice looking. I am using it for my outdoor fireplace which is run on propane. The flames come out even and goes well with my log set. The only con is I like running it all by itself too! I hooked it up to a fire regulator to control flame height!

Heavy duty pan with black coating. 1/2" pipe thread connector on one end. Likely will rust over time as it is made of regular carbon steel not stainless and the coating is never 100% especially with the heat it takes. Holes in the main and front tube face down. This is OK for natural gas which is lighter than air and floats up. Not so good for propane which is heavier than air and sinks down. If you use with propane, like I do, you will need a propane air mixer that does not come with the pan. Air mixers are upwards of $25 extra and be careful what size you get to match the BTU of this burner. Since propane is heavier than air and the holes in the tubes point straight down the gas sinks and causes popping like noises as it pools at the bottom then eventually catches a part of the flame and ignites. I have tried to pack vermiculite (for propane use) under the tubes but it does not really help the issue. Makes for a noisy fire. Holes up at an angle would be better for propane use. Only negative if the des ription wasn't clear on what parts were included so I returned the air part as it was included. Easy to install, looks great.

Item came with a cap on one end of the gas line and open male thread on other. Could be connected from either right or left side of burner. Installation required 1/2 in connector gas line kit sold separately.

Looks nice well packaged etc. Used with log fireplace and good flame distribution. There is some gas noise from the unit however. Hard plumbed the gas to unit so it is not related to a hose before that come up. Not bad noise level but noticeable for sure.
