I had purchased online three other, different brands, electric kettles and they ALL LEAKED. (Fortunately, I was able to send them all back for a refund.) Skeptical of buying any other electric kettle online no matter what bran, this one caught my attention because of the choice of colors and its elegant design; I had been looking for an aqua color to match my newly painted turquoise cabinets. And now, I am so glad the others didn't work out because this one is perfect! First, it does NOT leak! And the best quality is that it heats up quickly with a bonus of watching a boiling water performance through the clear glass illuminated by a beautiful blue light. The light shuts off when the water is boiled, so I don't care about it not having a "beep" when it's done. Although the container and lid are hot to the touch, the sturdy, functional handle stays cool - just don't touch the hot parts as you would not touch a boiling tea kettle on the stove - duh! I have been using this kettle for two months now and really enjoy its presence in my kitchen, the bright colors and its quickly-produced hot water is a happy wake-up note on any early morning, so I do hope it lasts a long time. Photos show the kettle: 1) full roll boiling, 2) boiling done and auto turned off, and 3) just set to boil (the light comes on as soon as you press the "on" button).

Overall this is a great product. It boils water quickly and has a dull reliability which is what I got it for. I bought it during Prime Days and thought to hold off a review until I had put it through its paces. I do not boil water for drinking but I do boil water and other liquids for other things and this so far hasn't skipped a beat. I don't recommend boiling anything but water in it but it's your choice. So far 7 months and no issues for me and still works and looks new. To get it to last try these Pro-Tips! 1. Keep the lid clean and clean the plastic really well to avoid contamination build-up that can cause it to break down prematurely. Since I don't use mine for human consumption I treated the plastic and it looks as good as new. If you plan to use it for human consumption, cleaning the plastic with boiling water works well. 2. Never let it run down too low, I always boil at least half a container. The reason for this is these heating elements are kind of flimsy, and if the water gets too low or runs out somehow and the safety doesn't kick in, or its right on the margin, the heating element gets so hot you wear it out. If you are transferring all the heat into the water, the element doesn't overheat, and will last a good long time. This is true of this item and many like it. It does however take more energy to boil more water, this is true. 3. To clean it you can use a little CLR or the like to clean the pot and clean where it sits on the element and the bottom. Don't use anything too harsh but keeping it clean is key.

I bought the Offacy Electric Kettle mainly because I wanted something simple, fast, and reliable for everyday tea or quick meals—and this kettle nails it. It boils water surprisingly quickly, probably faster than my old stove kettle. The glass body is nice because you can easily see when it’s ready, and the blue LED lighting when boiling is a fun touch. The kettle sits neatly on a small base, so you don't have to drag a cord around when pouring, and the auto shut-off is great for peace of mind. One thing I noticed is the lid doesn’t fully detach—it just pops open. This can make cleaning inside a bit tricky, especially if you have big hands or prefer to wipe it down after use to avoid water spots. But honestly, it hasn’t been a huge deal for me. There's also a handy little mesh strainer built into the spout, so you won't accidentally pour out any tea leaves if you brew directly in the kettle, which I do a lot at work. Pros: - Fast Boiling: Heats water quickly, ideal for morning tea or fast meal prep. - Glass Design: Easy to see water level, plus it looks great in the kitchen or office. - Auto Shut-Off: Turns itself off automatically after boiling, giving some peace of mind. - Built-in Mesh Strainer: Prevents tea leaves or small particles from ending up in your cup. Why did you pick this product vs others?: This product came in promptly and in good condition. We used this for a few years until the bottom started rusting. Thus the 4 stars. It still worked. I would have kept using it because....well, I'm a guy and we use rusted stuff all the time. My wife wouldn't use a rusted bottom, so we got ride of it and bought another pot. I liked the glass look. It had a nice blue glow when it was heating up the water. If you are a tea drinker, it is so nice to have a kettle like this. It's so much faster than a traditional pot that you put on a stove that we had for years.
