I like to use bath oils for soaking in my tub but I don't enjoy trying to clean up the oil afterwards. So I ordered these in hopes that they would absorb a lot of the oil when I get out to reduce the work of cleaning the tub. Turns out it worked! I end up with much less oil residue on the sides of the tub. That's saving my back.

I use these in the hot tub and ice bath to absorb oils left from soaking. I feel like they do work and these are much larger than the ones I've bought in the past. I normally rinse them in warm water to clean them. I replace them when they get discolored or slimy. I feel like these have helped keep the water cleaner.

We change the scum sponge in our hot tub every couple of months because my skin can be sensitive to the water if it has too much accumulation of oils etc. We are always looking for affordable sponges that do the job and are economical. These scum absorber sponges come vacuum sealed. They initially look small and thin. After opening, they expand and increase in size. Compared to other similar sponges that I have purchased for our hot tub, these seem smaller. I was concerned that they would not work as well. However, these sponges do a fantastic job of helping to keep our hot tub clean! The sponges get heavier as they absorb dirt and oils from the water. So you can feel them working when you pick them up after being in the water for a couple days. I really like that these sponges can be rinsed and reused to keep them working better longer and to help extend the lifespan of these sponges. We have used many brands of scum sponges over the years and these sponges work just as well as any other brand of sponges that I have purchased. Overall, these scum sponges do a great job of keeping our hot tub water clean and I appreciate that they are washable. These sponges are very affordable and are 10/10 for both value and performance!

I got one of those inflatable hot tubs and needed something to absorb the scum that hot tubs make. Added this and it does a pretty good job.

I ordered these for a pool, not a hot tub, and the truth is that there has never been much of a sign of lotions washing off. However there is a real problem with pollen and other tiny particles that seem to come from a neighbor's tree. I had read that a tennis ball will pick up small stuff on the surface of the pool water, so thought I would try this instead, since these at least look a little cute. My goal is to have nothing floating on the surface of the water and to have the water be crystal clear. So far I have seen no evidence that this has picked up anything at all. Plus while the design is cute, I much prefer the surface of my pool to jut have the look of water, not too much stuff floating around. I wouldn't order these again.

I have these in our hot tub and they work so well to pick up soap scum! They comes vacuum sealed and puff up once opened. We leave them in the hot tub and they catch any scum floating around and hold onto it. It’s easy to bring them in and wash them off too.

I added these oil absorbers to my above ground pool. Unfortunately, I did not see a difference. My family and I are in the pool atleast a few times a week weather permitting and wear sunblock lotion daily. Besides the cute turtle design, I do not recommend this product
