This works perfect for my older Samsung TV that doesn't have bluetooth. Hook up easily to the back of the tv- I will say that the cord that goes on the side of the speaker doesn't stay in that well, but as long as you're not moving it around it's okay. My original speakers were horrible and I had to turn the TV up all the way to hear, this brings a whole new experience and provides some surround sound I didn't know I wanted!!     • I think it works OK, but with some slight flaws.

The volume is great, and it sounds good in most cases. This works so much better than computer built in speakers, and a lot better than a clip-on speaker made for computers that was supposed to be good according to reviews here. For a small soundbar it has decent bass and OK stereo imaging. The Bluetooth and the 3.5mm inputs work fine, I haven't had an opportunity to use the subwoofer output so I can't comment on that. The remote works OK, but the various tone controls like music, news, and movie don't seem to do much. The remote doesn't come with batteries, and I guess it didn't claim to come with them, but just have a set of AAA ready if you want to use the remote. The flaw that I hear is hissing instead of proper sound reproduction at low volumes. It sounds like shh-shh-shhh as people are speaking or music is playing. At first I thought it was my computer soundcard, and I tried multiple soundcards, multiple computer settings and multiple software drivers on my computer. I played with turning the volume on this device up, and the computer volume down and vise-versa. Then I tried it with my phone over Bluetooth, and the same shh-shh-shh effect was there. So all I can conclude is it is just that the device is unable to produce usable sound at low volumes, and instead it comes across as noise, scratching or hissing. If you listen at moderate or loud volumes, it probably will be fine. But if you are wanting to listen at low volumes, it can be annoying. ... show more

Our tv has a very tinny sound so we bought a large sound bar to start off. This sound bar replaced that one, which was very irritating to use and had a lot of issues with loudness and modes. This sound bar was very easy to install and less complicated than our previous one. The sound is very clear with no weird background sounds. The bass is good but not overwhelming. I haven't noticed any sort of distortion in the sound whatsoever. It puts out more quality sound than the previous bar which was twice as big. Once you have this installed, this is the easiest to use. The remote that comes with it does what I need it to do. I don't have to keep adjusting it either. I don't know how they did it but it seems to be loud enough in one room without it blasting down the hallway. The sound seems to contain itself to the room it is in more than the previous one. For the price you can’t beat it! It’s small and compact so when you mount it you don’t have to worry about it falling off the wall if you can’t find a beam in the wall. Sound quality was just enough for what I needed in my apartment. The setup was very simple because the speaker automatically paired with my firestick. All I had to do was plug the optical cable into the TV and the speaker and I was up and running. Speaker's in my order model Sony TV are blown but the TV worked great so this was the next step rather than replacing a 60” that still has life. Only thing I don’t like is how you have to hook the speaker onto the screws if you choose to mount it on the wall. Like the quality and price so much I ordered one for the bedroom TV as well. ... show more
