Very sturdy self. I am a couponer and i use these in my basement to store laundy detergent and heavy cleaners. They are very easy to put together and move around as needed. I like that the shelves are adjustable.

It's better than a plastic shelves you find in the home goods section but a little under a commercial shelf. But for most people it will work fine. The wire sides and backing is not included, I used an 18 wire shelf rack to keep things from getting pushed off the sides.

There is not one piece of the FRAME of the storage "Garage Shelving" that is thicker than around 1/16 of an inch other than the wire type surface that your items will be on. Always place heavier items at the strongest points, near the vertical uprights and put lighter items in the middle of shelves. The middle connection is with with a plastic piece (yeah) and a shelf. I had a problem putting the plastic pieces in because the vertical frame pieces were not at 90% like the plastic pieces. Squeezed the metal vertical pieces with one hand and then popped the plastic pieces in with my fingers. Notice that heavier items like tires/wheels in the pics are on the bottom at/on the floor...the picture for kettlebells and dumbbells (must be light ones) would also mislead me. This is a cheap thin metal rack and will do the job for what I call medium weight storage. No, I would not put "602 pounds per shelf". Just my knowledge working with metals as an welder, warehousing/storage as a forklift operator and truck driver. Use common sense when purchasing anything! Yeah, it's worth the price delivered to your door! Just know what your buying and avoid the hassle of returns and making Amazon eat it for an item that you expected more out of than you paid for. ... show more
