They are not very bright and you can hardly see the design on the ground. My pool is only 42 inches too. You can't keep them upright either bc the design won't show at all so they have to be on a slant, which looks plain stupid. I wouldn't buy these. I would look for another option if possible.

These are so awesome. They are easy to put together and attach. These ones are much bigger than the other ones I bought. I like how thick the straps are, because they stay put. The best part is the color changing. The more sun they get, the brighter they are. They are very functional for night swimming. Such an amazing price and great value. I will be buying more of these. Its a nice thought! I live in AZ and had bought 2 packs of 4 . I put out the first pack of 4 and attached them using the zip ties. They get alot of sun so no problem for solar but they are not bright. And 2 of the 4 have fallen into the pool because the zip ties have broken. I will be returning the other box I didn't open and am so sad they do not provide the fun color atmosphere like the picture ... show more
