I picked this up for my laundry room since the E26 base was already there, which made the setup incredibly easy. It was literally as simple as screwing in a lightbulb. The light itself is actually pretty cool because it gives you several different shades of white and various brightness levels to choose from, which is great for seeing what you are doing with the wash. The fan has four speeds and the airflow is surprisingly forceful for its size, plus the motor stays nice and quiet while it’s running. However, the big issue I ran into is that the air only blows in one direction—straight down. I really wish it had the option to go up and down, as being stuck with a fixed downward flow is a bit of a letdown. Because the airflow is so limited in direction, it does pull the overall value down a little bit for me. That said, if you just need a quick, powerful cooling solution in a small space and don't mind the fixed path, I would still recommend it. I used this socket fan light under my back patio for game night, and it worked great. The airflow was strong enough to keep everyone comfortable, and I really liked being able to adjust both the fan speed and the light brightness with the remote. The different color temperature options are a nice touch too — we used a brighter, cooler setting while setting up and then switched to a warmer tone later in the evening. Installation couldn’t have been easier. I literally just screwed it into the socket and it was ready to go — no tools, no wiring, no hassle. When we were done for the night, I simply unscrewed it and brought it back inside. My only hesitation is long-term outdoor durability since it’s not waterproof. I’m not sure how it would hold up if left outside permanently, so I prefer using it temporarily and bringing it in afterward. Thankfully, that’s super easy to do.
