This little fan serves a need that we didn’t know we needed! It’s like it was designed just for the spot in our garage. It was a regular ol’ socket with a light bulb that came on every time we turned on the main light. That bulb’s light was inconsequential to the main light, so for many years there wasn’t even a bulb in it. But then one day we saw this little fan light and thought that it would be the perfect thing for that spot. Now we make use of that socket with air circulation every time we turn on the main light! This cute little fan light was super easy to assemble. We had it up in a few minutes from tearing into the box. That’s the best part about all the socket lights from Bell Howell; they’re as simple as screwing in a light bulb. We were anxious to try the fan, because this light is also secondary to the main light. So we used the remote to set it to fan high, light off. This little guy is mighty powerful, but in all honesty, you do have to be right underneath it to feel the air. On medium, we felt some moderate air; on low, it was hard to feel the air. But we intended it to be more about air circulation. We never intended it to blow us cool like the stand fan. And yes, this little guy is quite noisy, but it’s only the garage. Use in the house may be more bothersome. But what we really like is the memory on the remote. We read that it defaults to light on/fan off, so we were worried that we’d have to grab the remote and set it up every time we ran into the garage. Nope. It remembers our settings of high fan/no light, so every time we run into the garage and flip the main light switch, this guy comes on to default momentarily and then switches to our settings in a few seconds. It’s like our magic fan! Like we said, we mainly wanted air circulation and not a wind tunnel. And we’ve noticed that with this guy up there doing his thing that the garage air does feel fresher without us even having to think about it. This fan is a most ingenious addition to that socket that was otherwise going to waste. Of course, if we want more light, we can turn that on, too. It seemed pretty bright on low, better on medium, and really bright on high. But next to the main garage light, it’s not really needed in our case. Where has this thing been all our lives? This little fan light is so nifty, we only wish we had more sockets to put one in.

It does its job for what it is when this is off in my master bedroom in my mobile home with bedroom door open my old man sleeps with no cover and it sweating when it's on he is covered up with no sweat only thing wrong with it is when I push the up button on my TV remote it turns the fan off and the light on and it doesn't matter how I point my TV remote it still turns fan off and light on that's the only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 because it is aggravating other then that this is a great product for its size put out lots of air and freezes 🥶 me

First, these could not be easier to install. However - if you are planning to use them on a light fixture within a ceiling that is anything but flat, you will need a flexible extension. Do not get one with a single pivot point, opt instead for one that is like a rope and can easily bend in any direction. The LED light is quite bright, but as expected produces a cold feel; something to consider. We bought 4 for our covered patio, and they all run on the same "channel", meaning one remote from any of them will control all of them. The only time that gets difficult is if only some of the four receive the signal and you're trying to get the fan on high on all of them, but the light on high for only one or two of them. Not a huge deal, but takes patience.

This little socket fan is a really clever idea. I purchased one for my garage where I really need some circulation. I have a 2 car garage - two walls are shared with the house, one wall is an exterior wall, and then of course the insulated garage door. In the summer, the garage can get very stuffy, and in the winter, I can get a lot of moisture between snow covered cars, and half the garage being warm from the interior walls and half of the garage being cold from the exterior walls. I thought this little fan would help move around the air. This is a neat gadget, and it is easy to assemble, but it just doesn't move the air enough for a large area with higher ceilings. I considered getting a second fan, but at $50 a pop but I figured I would make do with one. This fan would definitely work best in a small room (like a closet) with a standard 8 foot high ceiling.

I am so happy with this purchase. This is the second one bought because I liked it so much. And my third purchase is in the stream. My living room is a strange shape that includes a 20ft hallway. The only air vents are 35ft apart. Making my living room a cold area in winter and very hot during summer,I have placed this fan into recessed lights in the hall which has one of the vents. I am in Heaven…finally after several years a cure for air movement! And because of included light I still have my hall lit whenever needed. Has cut down on cooling cost and expected heating costs as well. Great product! Remote comes with each unit, and works for both fans so I’ve mounted one on wall and keep one by my chair.

Three light levels and three fan speeds. The light and fan can be turned off independently with the light level and speed controls, or together from the off and on switches. The LED light is a very bright white; I would have preferred a more natural light. Maybe the next model will include a tented cover to tone it down a bit. The wireless remote is nice, and a wall mount for the remote is included, but I was pleased to find that the light and fan remember their previous settings even when turned off and on from a light switch. If the previous light setting were medium or low, the light will come on high, and then return to the previous setting. The fan is surprisingly powerful for such a small fan, and yet it is very quiet. The fan has three forward speed settings, but it does not reverse. The Socket Fanlight is a bit pricy, but if the light could be dimmed more, or if the light had a yellow cover, I would consider buying another one for the front porch. As it is, I'm afraid that it would attract every bug for 1000 yards or more, even on the lowest setting.
