OK … I‘ll admit that I upgraded my teapot to a high-end luxury brand mostly for its looks. I love the design and the color. On the practical side, this teapot does its job. It boils water and will whistle when the water reaches a boil and produces steam. It handles heat very well and I can pick it up by the handle without burning myself. It’s just the right size. This steam kettle has great functionality has a nice whistle holds a lot of water value for money. It’s a bit expensive but it’s Smeg so you get what you pay for its quality. Rust resistant I’m sure is really good, but I haven’t tested it out for more than a month yet

I love SMEG, the design is great, very nice looking, a lot bigger than our previous Le Creuset kettle. My issue is with the exterior enamel. You just cannot get the stains off the outside (the little splatter marks from cooking near it). And worse, if the water is too low (which can be hard to gage) the enamel completely burns off. Would not recommend for someone who uses a kettle frequently, leaves it on the stove, and certainly not in a lighter color. This is fashion not function unfortunately... ... show more

Every curve and line feels intentional, from the lid handle to the spout, which pours with zero drip or hesitation. It fits perfectly into my kitchen’s design language—clean, black, and reflective without feeling loud. I keep mine displayed on the upper open shelf when not in use, and it feels like an art piece that happens to boil water. The whistle tone is refined and not piercing, and the stainless-steel interior cleans up beautifully after each use. Measurements came in at just under 9 inches tall and roughly 10 inches wide with the handle—compact yet commanding.
