I got this machine because I was given 10 boxes of test strips from my sister. The numbers do not match my Freestyle meter. Sometimes it reads at least 50 points higher. Since I am still in my target range for my A1c, I am okay with using them.

After becoming accustomed to paying close to $1 dollar per test strip for other brand meters, the strips for this meter are much more economical. I currently pay approximately 25 cents per test strip through Amazon. I find the meter as good as or better than my previous brands including features, accuracy and consistency.

Maybe they don't give this meter away like some meter makers do. Those manufacturers know they'll make a fortune on expensive test strips. But if you buy this great little meter for under $10, you'll be paying way less for test strips than the other guys charge. I love this meter. It does just about everything the other meters do, gives results in 5 seconds based on an extremely small amount of blood. I tested this meter against my previous glucose meter and its results were always within 5 points of the other meter. Once you realize that you won't get exactly the same result taking two readings using just a single meter, that this meter is so close to another meter is just amazing. I can't recommend it strongly enough.

I am happy with the product but the manual has a very poor spanish translated version. For me that reflects lack of professionalism and looks bad.

I switched to another brand that is very comparable cost wise. Actually the strips are 30% cheaper than the Infinity Strips and easily available locally. As far as being accurate and easy to use it was very comparable to the One Touch Ultra just a lot less inexpensive.
