Product is as described and easily connects to Alexa- there are instructions in the app once you download it. I ended up using the Smart Life app and not the app they had in on the instructions though as I have other devices on that platform and they all work together. Alexa can handle more than one login for the Smart Life skill. I did drill holes in my cabinets to hide the wiring and that was super simple too. Loved the installation. Easy. Love the scheduling feature to save energy. Easy. Connects to Alexa and app. Easy. Only draw back is there are no standard white colors to set to. What I mean is, if you are looking for a standard ‘cool white’, ‘soft white’ or ‘warm white’ you will not find it. There are some pesets in the Tuya app, but they all have a yellow or blue tint to them. And when they are on the preset settings, you lose the dimming feature. So- they are nice if you want color. Lots of colors. But if you are looking for under cabinet lighting in your kitchen with some standard whites that look like the rest of the lighting in your kitchen, you may struggle to get the look you want color wise. ... show more

    • Cannot be hardwired into electrical system

I was looking for a system that offered the features of these lights, including being able to hardwire them into my electrical system circuit box. Other systems have two pieces, one is the transformer, and the other piece is a short cable with a standard plug. This is what I want, and I will cut off the plug and hardwire the light power cable into my electrical system circuit box. (You can't do that if the AC plug is integral with the transformer.) Unfortunately the description does not specifically indicate if the AC end is suitable, nor does it have any pictures that show all of the pieces, including the AC plug end. So I asked the question: "Is the AC plug part of a transformer or is the plug on a separate wire?" I received an answer: "It's s a multiple piece wire. AC into wall is one piece , then transformer/IR box is the other piece that the lights connect to. By Ashley S on July 23, 2022". Based on this response I ordered the lights. However, upon receipt, it turns out that the AC plug is integral to the power transformer, necessitating it be plugged into a standard receptacle. Not what I want and I will be returning it. The product itself may be fine, but I knocked off two stars because of the item on Amazon being deficient in its description of how the AC end is configured. I strongly suggest the item description be updated to show one or more pictures of all of the included components so it is clear what is included. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Liked them initially but now one of the pucks is malfunctioning with the center led strip being the wrong color or not working with blue.

Used these as accent lights under my mantle on a fireplace remodel. They worked great overall. I do wish the plugs the wires to the lights were a little smaller. The color temp for the whites offers a good range from warm to bright. It looked like other light kits didn't have a separate white range and were only RGB. Something to note is the shorter cord coming out of the receiver box is the antenna for the remote. It is the only thing that needs to be line of sight for the remote to work. I tucked all the other wires/boxes into the recess of the mantle which allowed for a clean look. I also wish there was an orange color option (my daughter's favorite color), but the red, blue, purple are all pretty vibrant. Not planning to use anything other colors than a warm white most of the time, but fun to have options. ... show more

The color rendering and the manufacturers app are both terrible, that said Tuya smart will at least solve half of the problem. I have a microwave with an undermount light that I was hoping to color match, complete nogo, these lights do not produce oranges very well at all. That said they do produce bright under cabinet lighting that in my opinion really does elevate my kitchen. Overall I'm very pleased, But improvements could definitely be made. ... show more
