I just got the jellyfish lamp last night, I purchased it for my autistic 10 year old grand nephew, I will be giving it to him later today so I don't know how he will like it yet. However, I opened it and added the water and a few drops of soap, used the rod that came with it to get rid of the bubbles from the ides of the tank and the jellyfish. That was about it for the prep of it. I added the 2 jellyfish and the 2 fish to it and let it run for a couple of hours and it looks great, very colorful and the items are moving around good. It did not come with a remote and the motor only has one speed. The lights are nice and I think it is worth the money so far. It is a little heavy so I will be warning him to not carry it around but it is the prefect size for a side table in his room. ... show more

Looks amazing. I don’t know what sound people are referring too. Mine is quiet enough to sleep through. I don’t notice a sound. Love the size and color options. My one issue is the jellyfish tend to just hang around the top so hoping after a couple days they start using the entire space.

I like how it transforms the vibe of my room. It might be synthetic, but the jellyfish moves very fluidly and realistically. Having a bluetooth speaker and white noise machine helps keep the mood light, which I really like to use as part of my nightly routine. The motor is relatively quiet too and the hum isnt too bad to distract. The lights and most of other functionalities can be controlled using the provided remote. You do need to use distilled water or some dish soap to keep the jellyfish from getting stuck. If you are looking for something that helps you unwind at the end of day, I would definitely recommend it ... show more

I bought this as a gift for a friend who has a bunch of fish tanks and thought this would go well with it. At first I was a little intimidated when i opened it and seen the instructions to assemble. It was easier to do then i first thought and the light looks really nice along his fish tanks

It's ok, the jelly fish don't really "swim" around they more so roll around, maybe the current is too strong for a swim like flow. If you leave it off for a day or longer the water gets hazy and murky, if you don't put soap in it like it tells you too maybe you won't have that problem

I LOVE my jellyfish aquarium!!! It’s one of my favorite gifts yet. My husband bought it for me for my birthday after he saw it in my Amazon wish list. I honestly thought it was going to be cheap looking in person and was quite surprised with how awesome it actually is. Mine came with 2 jelly fish, one large and one small. One has pink highlight paint and the other has yellow. I immediately put them both in dish soap for 4 hours before submerging them into the aquarium. I added water to the very top, rinsed off my jellies and put them in. Oh, they actually are made well. They have a very thin plastic but it’s rubbery and the tentacles feel sticky almost. They’re are really looking as can be. Upon turning the power on, it will cycle through the “light show” of colors or you can push the color mode and select one. My favorite is the blue color in the video I posted as it makes the jellyfish highlighted paint colors glow like a black light. They’re so mesmerizing to watch!! It will power off automatically after 4 hours so I put it on when I’m going to bed and fall asleep looking at them. All of my friends and friends kids want one. I’ve even had people ask me if they’re real. So if you’re not sure about getting one, do it. They look so much cooler in real life!! My video does not do it justice.
