  • Love the lock and the customer service
This is my second lock. If you have a standard door, it is very easy to install. Excellent directions. Each parts package is clearly marked in the sequence you need to use them. I use the locks remotely. Almost every person who experiences these locks asked me who makes them and where can I get them? Their locks are very high-quality. The fingerprint reads very quickly. They’ve updated their app since my first purchase and it is far more user-friendly easy to use and manage access. I had a couple of follow up questions regarding their gateway regarding the first lock and the second lock. Their customer service is amazing. They got back to me via email very quickly and followed up until I told them the issue was closed. You do not see customer service like that very much these days. If you want to control the lock remotely, you need the gateway. And since I’ve installed a second lock, I’ve now learned that the range is about 10 to 15 feet from the lock. So I will be purchasing an additional gateway. It is worth the convenience to have two options to allow access into the house remotely. ... show more

  • Easy to Install - Easy to Use
First time buying a Smart Lock - needed one for our Owner's Closet for our condo that we rent out. I was tired of remembering to bring the key with me when we visited. Can't tell you how many times I have forgotten and had to have our Cleaning person come open it for me! I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to install and set up. The directions that come with the unit are pretty good - have some nice diagrams, etc., but the video made everything a breeze. Follow the video - install will go so much better! Everything fit perfectly with the existing door set up - holes lined up, no problems. I set up codes for our cleaning crew and can see when they open and close the door. I also purchased the gateway so I could manage everything remotely since I live in a different state than our condo. Haven't had to add any new temp passwords yet, but it's easy to do, and will be a big help when any of our family members use it. I like that there are options for opening - key fob, code, finger print, and most importantly an emergency key if the batteries die! ... show more

  • Very easy to set up
This lock is reliable and easy to install. I love how there are several options you can to open it: fingerprints, fob key, passcode, or physical key. I'd usually just set a certain number of 'burnable' passcodes which I can give out to someone in case I am not home and someone needs to access my room. Then I can just delete each time. You can also set passcodes with specific time duration, which is perfect for short-term rentals. You can customize whether you want the lock with voice prompt or not, but I actually prefer disabling the voice prompt because it can get annoying over time. The lock can also be customized on whehter or not it automatically locks everytime you close it, or if it will after a certain period of time, or if you just want to manually lock it each time (passage mode). Finally, this lock fits standard knob holes for doors. So no need to worry about making weird holes on your door which you can no longer undone later on in case you decide to change door knobs later on. So convenient! The only thing I'm kinda disappointed with is the inability to directly connect with wifi. You will have to purchase a separate device a.k.a. 'gateway' for it to be able to connect to wifi, so that you can control your lock remotely even when you are not home. It also keeps a log of who entered based on whose fingerprint/fob/passcode was entered. Overall, I highly recommend this lock! I hope they can incorporate camera/mic feature on it in the future just like ring doorbell. ... show more

  • Pros and Cons Pros and Cons
I like this lock, after evaluating through many other competitors I chose this one, however, my husband is still judging it from his perspective. Below is pros & cons: Why I like it? Last night our old password e-lock battery died without any notice, my mom and I were locked out from house in a dark and cold night, with grocery’s on our hands. We were in a big trouble not able to get in our own house. After this incident, I realize I want a lock with key features: 1. Backup physical key available. 2. Battery level notice 3. Easy to replace battery. 4. Password button is solid - our old one the button started to disappear after 5 years. 5. Flexible ways to change password. 6. Morden quality design with a handle level. For the fingerprint functions, I am not relying on it much because living in a suburb, I know it creates a huge security issue that someone could knock you out and force your fingerprint to open the door. However, I still bought one with this feature because I may change my mind. After getting it and install it with easy, I am happy that it has many ways of opening the door: swip cards. Especially happy that we can have recording of the door opening time. I feel the flexibility of this app gave us. Now the Cons: One big issue we found it we disabled the fingerprint functions, however it still detects fingerprint. And the lock has an auto-lock after several failures. We didn’t find anywhere to change this auto-lock after failure. So what we believe is the other security bug here: it is very easy to put wrong fingerprints for three times and trigger the door locked. There should be a way to disable either the auto-lock functions or fingerprint reading functions. We may even return this if this function cause us not be able to enter the house when we need to rush in, but the fingerprint issues locked the door. Image if there is a fire, and we were locked out. We can gave our codes to firefighters, but any dummy tried their fingerprints on our door may locked the door! Indeed, the self-lock function will be reset after a few minutes. But in emergency, every minute counts. I also read other reviewers said the fingureprints don’t read and they were locked out. The biggest issues are this is a great product, it tries to do too much. Like the guest swipe cards, because if our guests lost the swipe cards, it may be hard to get a replacement.. for the reasons above, my husband is more inclined to get the Google one which does one thing but it works. However, I choose to stay with this, for the biggest pros: The PRICE is great! ... show more

  • 5 days, so far so good
5 month update: lock works perfectly without issue and the battery life is excellent. Gateway another story... check your gateway often to be sure it's communicating well with lock, if not, exchange it. I have 2 gateways now that can support 2 locks each and one supports 2 lock almost 25ft apart. I've had other gateway that can't even support a lock 7ft away. Again test often while new and exchange it if it doesn't perform. Will save you lots of frustration. Gateways not made by Sifely and some are very sketchy connection. I have a vacation rental with a mechanical combination door lock and my property manager manually changes the code monthly. I always wanted to be able to remotely change the combination with each new guest and the code is only valid on the days the guest is staying in the unit. I started my research on what people didn't like about their smart locks, what absolutely frustrated them. And whatever bothered owners with the E models appeared to be fixed in the model X (I hope). I looked at the installation video for the Sifely X before I even bought it and that's a nice touch as it was really as easy as it was in the video. Every screw was pre-marked in its own plastic bag so you don't mixed them up. When I received this lock, I tested for 2 days to be sure all the functions work, unlock and lock from cellphone, key, finger print, combination code and smart card. No problem whatsoever. The fingerprint is very accurate as it works seamlessly. Then I tried to add a code while I was away from the house and got an error message. I tried to unlock the door and gave me error message. The error message is... must be within 2 meters of lock to perform this function. Did some more research and it turns out I need a gateway in order to do anything remotely. That wasn't clear to me when I bought it. Now questioning why isn't the unit sold with a gateway as remote management is a must or at least have 2 options, with and without gateway and explain what the difference. I didn't expect to spend additional $39 but let's see if the gateway will impress me when it arrives. If you don't need remote management of your smart lock, this lock is great... but what smart home doesn't need remote access??? ... show more

  • Not reliable
Does not keep the code in. I locked myself out and had to call Locksmith because of that. Have to change the battery every 3-4 weeks.

  • Excellent prodict
The lock is super easy to install and easy to use. We use this on our AirB&B to set codes for guest. I also purchased 3 extra chip readers and a gateway. I can set up a code for guest and select the day and time it will be active and what day and or time it will end being active. I’m super glade I made this purchase. I bought a really expensive lock from a major hardware store before at first. It was not easy to install and it didn’t give me the options I have with the Sifely lock. One feature I love is pass mode. When my family and I use the rental property I can turn pass mode on and we don’t have to keep entering the code each time. Then when we leave I just turn pass mode off. I’m able to give each employee their own code as well. Our house keeper and maintenance guy have their own codes. The gateway lets you know who unlocks the door and when. The options are endless with this lock. Also this model uses finger print reading. As an owner I never enter a code. I just use my thumb print. Super easy! A great lock and a rockstar price! ... show more

  • Excellent lock and excellent customer service!!!
I like this lock so much I use 4 of them in my mixed use building. From the easy to follow install instructions to the multiple ways to unlock the door you will not be disappointed. My business needs multiple passcodes and this lock handles it easily. You can even transfer passcodes from one lock to another very easily using the app. They also have a web based application that I found useful when entering and/or deleting multiple codes. I recently had an issue with my lock. When I reached out to customer service they were very quick to respond and help me troubleshoot the lock. Unfortunately we could not resolve it, and the are sending me a new lock (since I am under warranty still). ... show more
