  • Good for molding, bad for frames!!!
Size: 200 grams ($0.11 / g)
This stuff has a great consistency and it cures really nicely. Give it at least 2min under a UV lamp and don’t touch it for a minute or so afterwards though, the chemical reaction of the cure is exothermic and it gets MAD CRAZY HOT. I bet you can tell why I know this. The one thing I really don’t like about it is that it shrinks SO MUCH that the resin will quite literally just fall right out of any frame/bezel you put it in. It’s much better-suited to molding, which is honestly not so bad since I have plenty of UV molds to use, but it took me a few failed attempts at putting it in metal frames before I realized what it was doing and banished it to mold-only duty. The cherry blossom charms in the attached photos have been made with this resin, but the frames were filled with a different resin. ... show more

  • Buy with caution
Size: 200 grams ($0.11 / g)
After months of owning this stuff I have finally cracked the secret to curing it solid. I've had issues since purchasing with getting the outside to to cure hard. Curing under even the brightest of artificial uv left a tacky, cloudy residue. Now I flash the resin under artificial uv to set it quickly and finish Curing under direct sunlight for about 15 mins. It leaves the resin clear, shiney, and hard. However I will say it seems to be that no matter what this stuff is not good for mold uses. Even under the sun it I haven't been able to cure a thicker piece (just making small "crystal stones") under anything totally. If it does cure the shrinkage and subsequent ripples on the surface render the pieces unusable. However I love it as a glaze for polymer clay pieces or anything of the like. ... show more

  • Better than I expected
Size: 200 grams ($0.11 / g)
To be honest, I was very hesitant to purchase this after I read the reviews. I only ended up with it because it was the best deal on UV resin. I have started making jewelry out of recycled computer parts. UV resin has a much faster drying time than regular resin so that's what I really wanted. Granted I don't have a lot of experience with resin...well none before I made this necklace. Thankfully video tutorials really gave me the confidence to try it. It was really easy to use. The biggest worry I had was from so many reviews that said it left a sticky residue after curing. This seemed to be a really common thing. Well that wasn't going to work for jewelry I am trying to sell. After reading numerous reviews on here, I ran across one that suggested using a higher quality UV lamp to get it to cure correctly. That's what I did. I purchased a 36w UV lamp. As best I an remember I cured this piece on the 180 second timer. It worked perfectly. It wasn't sticky at all. I guess if you are on the fence about the purchase after reading the reviews like I was, just purchase or use a 36w UV lamp. It will work. I haven't tried anything more complicated than curing a circuit board in a bezel pendant. If I have any trouble in future products, I will update this review. ... show more

  • Not good for silicone mold pours!
Size: 200 grams ($0.11 / g)
Probably the best UV resin I’ve tried in regards to curing time. Tried to adjust an embellishment on a piece I was doing and it pretty much hardened before I got it fully into the lamp (36w). I had 12 bottlecaps curing at 1 time and they all cured in less than a minute and a half. Doing this many would normally take 3-4 minutes with 3 other resins I’ve used. Will try with small molded pieces and see what the curing difference is. Might give it a try under a 9w lamp and see how that works. So far loving it. Only drawback is it does have a smell and gloves is a definite must with this resin. Over a month later and changing my 5 stars to 3. Works well in sealing bottle caps but sucks in silicone molds. Shrinkage is extreme. If you’re doing layers your first layer will shrink away from the sides leaving a gap. Second layer will run down the sides and create air pockets. The frustration gets worse because the resin starts curling and lifting out of the mold or completely distorts the mold so instead of a flat piece it’s now bowed in the middle. The resin also heats up and is probably the cause for the distortion of the mold and piece during curing. I’d rather have to wait and cure under a lamp 3 times longer with a more expensive Japan UV resin and get awesome sellable products than waste my money and time on a cheaper China UV resin. Won’t purchase again. ... show more

  • Drys perfectly hard, no tackiness and crystal clear
Size: 200 grams ($0.11 / g)
I absolutely love this brand. I have tried several others on amazon and i always come back to this one. I am c ok nfused about reviews that arent 5 star on this product though, if you have done your research on uv resin, you should have no issue with curing. I will say that if you are expecting a little flashlight to fully cure it, then that is your first mistake. I will continue to purchase this specific product!! It does appear to hve a shelf life, but I personally have not had an issue with that and I hope to never! ... show more

  • Great Value, works well. Use a UV lamp for perfect cure
Size: 200 grams ($0.11 / g)
Super easy to use, and dried fast. I bought a 74w UV lamp (a nail dryer dome) with 4 timer settings. This resin dries quickly in a lamp or in direct sunlight. If layering Resin, I would recommend like a 5 second UV lamp time before adding next layer. If you let it dry too long in UV, there is some shrinkage. Only completely dry it when you are done layering the whole mold! The resin does give off a slight, very mild smell while you work with it, but once cured, no smell. Just sit by an open window! Will definately get more, since it ships fast here! ... show more

  • Shrinkage!
Size: 200 grams ($0.11 / g)
At first when I used this resin, I really liked it and did not have any real issues. About a week after I received the resin I used it again, and noticed terrible shrinkage. I like to layer my pieces and this resin made it impossible. Would not purchase again.

  • Little pricey but great when time crunch
Size: 200 grams ($0.11 / g)
This is an expensive hobby to take up but it is definitely easy for those worried about a learning curve with resin. It is the first I have used. I highly recommend and, in addition, wear gloves and work in ventilated area. The fumes are not terrible but my nose itched quite badly so guess slight allergy. It mixes well with the mica powder. I got resin dye but think the brand not so great. Got this on reccomendation from youtubers. Also recommend a silicone mat for your work area as this will pop off when dried. This is great for smaller projects. I do not foresee purchasing this in bulk or using large quantities. ... show more
