I've installed many ceiling fans so I didn't bother reading the manual. I made the mistake of leaving the old bracket in since it would fit and wired everything up. There's a control box that is quite cumbersome and will not fit anywhere but inside the new fan bracket once everything is wired up. Replace the bracket and you'll have no problems! Other than my own error, it was a very simple fan to install. The fan looks great and is quiet. The remote is very straightforward. The adjustable warmth/brightness for the led lighting is very nice. We ordered this fan 4 months ago. The fan arrived and had a screw hole that was defective. I called the company and they responded immediately and shipped out another fan. My handyman was coming the next day and the new fan did not arrive in time and so I installed the fan with one less screw. I probably would not have done this except the customer service was so terrific and was already sending me another fan. If the fan began to wobble or had an issue, I knew I had a back up. I returned the replacement fan. That was 4 months ago and the fan has functioned with no problem. I recommend following the video to assemble it BEFORE mounting. (The manual I had suggested assembling it while the base was already mounted to the ceiling. That seemed too difficult. The fan works great. I hope they come out with a darker brown option or I may research how I might paint them. They would be perfect for our summer home. ... show more

Don’t fall for the same mistake I did. This fan has been falsely advertised as a “smart fan,” but there is nothing smart about it. Despite the claims, there are no instructions on how to pair the fan with Alexa or Google. The product specifications (which I had to find on Amazon because they weren’t included in the box) suggest using the Tuya app with 2.4GHz WiFi. However, the fan doesn’t connect because there’s no way to put it in pairing mode. To make matters worse, the mounting design is a complete failure. The fan simply sits in a hole in the bracket, unsecured. If you turn the speed up to 5 or 6, it starts shaking because there’s nothing holding it in place properly. This is not only annoying but also feels unsafe. If you just want a cheap fan and don’t care about the features or quality, then maybe this will work for you. But for anyone expecting smart functionality or a well-designed product, I suggest looking elsewhere.. ... show more

This fan is awesome! It has 3 options for light color and 6 fan speed options. Install was a breeze. The fan is very quiet and stops on a dime! The only thing I've noticed that is a bit tricky is when turning the light or fan on/off, you must hold the button down for approx 3 seconds. This may be so that it doesn't change if you accidently hit the button. Also, be sure to read the remote instructions. Once power is turned onto the fan, after install, you must hold buttons 1&2 on the remote for 3 seconds for the fan to sync with the remote. After 3 beeps, your good to go. I replaced two, older fans that were too big for the space. One of the new fans delivered was faulty from the factory. The remote did not work properly with the motor functions. Amazon was very prompt in replacing the unit. The remote control takes a little getting used to; for example, I prefer the warmer light tone, and it took some effort to set it as the default.
