The media could not be loaded. Ever since adopting 2 puppies a few months ago, my cycling life has been severely curtailed. Most mornings in this summer heat have been devoted to taking them for a walk, and we are too tired, and time deprived to consider cycling afterwards. Finally, we decided to try a trailer to enable us to go cycling and walk the puppies a bit afterwards. We browsed Amazon for various models and settled for this one. We tried it out after procrastinating due to the extreme heat wave. Here's our impression from the first 8 miles outing. First, the negatives: 1. the hole in the coupler which attaches the wheel hub of the bike to the tow bar is too small to fit the standard screw of the bike. I asked Aosom if they have another coupler with a larger hole. Their reply is their coupler hole size is standard and there is no alternative. Having read reviews on various trailers and coupler sets, I realized this is a common problem. Finally, I took the advice of these reviews and bought a small circular file to widen the hole. Problem solved. 2. The item overall is quite heavy. Having said that, other models I have searched are equally heavy if not more. 3. The floor is too soft for worry-free support of my dogs. I bought a piece of fiberboard from Home Depot and inserted it onto the floor fabric, then placed a foam cushion on top. That makes for a secure and comfortable ride. Now the positive. Judging by the way it assembles and experience of my first ride, there's a lot to rave about. 1. Truly foldable. the item easily folds flat, making it easy to store in the trunk of my vehicle. The wheels come off easily with 1 push of a button. Storing everything, wheels, tow bars and push handle included take up limited space. 2. Easy assembly. Once I arrived at the trailhead, re-assembling the trailer takes only a few minutes. 3. Sturdy and well-built overall. I rode over both paved greenway and quarry-dust trails. The item holds well and keeps good balance. Ther metal frame, the canvas, zips, attachments and wheels all seem to be made of good quality material. There is no rattle. The 16" rear wheels are just the right size - a nice compromise between monstrous 20" wheel on some models and unsteady 12" on some. The swivel twin front wheels make pushing during walks a breeze, with commendable steering. 4. Zip-open netting door front and back, along with the opening canvas top make for easy access from any direction sand provide ample ventilation. 5. Generous interior. The interior dimension of 22" x 31" is absolutely generous. My 25 lb Jack Russell and 6 lb chihuahua-terrier mix sit together with plenty of space to spare. They never complained during our 8 miles ride. Overall I am very happy with this choice. Looking at the first available date, this appears to be a new model from Aosom. If so this is recommendable improvement from previous models. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. My Wife donated my bike to charity and didn't know that the connection for the trailer was still on my bike. Would that be an off-the-shelf bike part? Wishing we were back on the road.

I’m so so happy with this!! Got it off of Amazon mainly because it’s a trailer for my bicycle to pull him behind me in but it doubles as a stronger! It’s very well made way better than I excited it’s perfect!!! Not only that but putting it together was a breeze your only really snapping the wheels in place and snapping two other things in place it’s awesome! Item arrived sooner than expected and packaged well. Very easy to assembly. Wheels and handle just pop in with a pin for additional safety. The inside deck only has a piece of cardboard so I cut a thin piece of wood and covered it with fabric, perfect! Used first time today, it rolls smoothly with the front wheels pivoting with no catches. I have a 8 lb Pappillion 14 years and a 25 lb mixed breed 6 years, plenty of room for both to lay down comfortably. I won't be attaching to my bike, (arm is included) as I like to keep eyes on my girls. I'm very pleased with this, now I'm able to take longer walks and when dogs are tired they can ride and rest. ... show more

Based on the price I have been reasonably satisfied with this purchase and I will try to be fair with this review. My reason for even writing a review is because I feel it is important that anyone considering this pet trailer or who currently owns this trailer be aware of what happened to my wife our beloved dog Tess due to a failure if the hitch during use. We were on about a 20 mile bike ride having traveled between 7 and 8 miles when the hitch bar that connects the trailer to the bike detached from the trailer. At the time I estimate I was going about 10 to 12 miles an hour on a busy road going into a left turn lane. When the trailer came off the bike it completely rolled over at least twice and came to an abrupt stop right in front of my wife who swerved to avoid running into the trailer and Tess. This caused her to crash her bike into a curb and fall scraping both her knees. This all happened because the manufacturers hitch pin fell out even though it had been properly latched before we started the ride. Please if you already own one of these trailers replace the hitch pins with a different type that can’t unlatch on there own. This incident could have been so much worse, we feel blessed the trailer stayed in our lane and didn’t travel into oncoming traffic, our beloved 13 year old dog didn’t suffer any broken bones or cuts from rolling over and over down the road and my wife was not seriously injured or hit by a car as she was falling. I will not use this trailer again with out making some serious modifications to the hitch system. ... show more
