We have another (open) playpen, with a similar design (just without the roof part) which was fun, because you could interact with your pet from above. The problem with the open one (for a russian dwarf hamster), is the animal climbs to the very top and so you have to be very vigilant about not letting the hamster climb on the sides or they may jump out. We now have Roborovski hamsters, and this pen with the ceiling is great, because they are much quicker than Russian dwarfs, and this pen keeps them secured. The only problem now is, it is hard to be interactive with your pet because the roof doesn’t allow you to swoop in from the top. It does store compactly, is easy to wipe down, and is relatively cheap though. So open design or one with top…depends if you want to interact with your pet or keep them secure.     • Impossible to put back in the bag

I used this for rabbits. It's super small and light when in the bag, and big enough for temporary use. But once you've taken it out of the storage bag, getting it back in seems to be impossible. Getting it back into a bag twice as big would be challenging.

    • Easy and nicely sized folding tent for my snake!

This is a nice little tent that I got so that my corn snake could come outside and get some fresh air. I used it inside first to make sure it was escape proof. No holes! But it is a thin material, so probably not best for an animal with claws or that might bite and tear the fabric. But for a corn snake, who simply pushes the corners with his head, it has worked very well. Large enough so that I can put lots of toys for him to crawl on. I don't know if it will stand up to a wash in the machine, so I just spray washed dirt off the outside and it cleaned up easily. ... show more

This crate opens right up, there is no set up required, it's floor and some of the top are plastic so easy to wipe down. I have pads on the floor part of it, a bed, a feeding station, and a itter box in it. The cats love it. They play and sleep. I was able to take the crate outside today with no problem. Used it outside for kittens to get some sunshine. So far they have not tried to chew through the mesh screening or the plastic. I suppose they could if they really wanted. Good product for the price. Good- Pops up easily, breathable sides, smooth zipper to close top, size as expected The bad- not at all waterproof as described. Small amount of guinea pig pee went straight through to floor.
