  • This really works. Glad I bought it.
Size: Medium
Doctor said I had a little atheritis on my low back. I had really bad back pain with stiffness especially when I woke up, some mornings just putting my socks on was a mission. I started therapy put didn't do anything for me. So I needed a solution being that the back pain was torturing me and I had to work with this pain. I decided to buy this product and was not optimistic about it until I used it and felt my pain diminish. The 1st day i felt the difference on my back. I had it for over 1 week and my back is feeling great. This really streaches the lower back and pretty much instantly feel less pain. Only negative is the strap is a little bit uncomfortable at 1st and you need to adjust to it which you do the more you use it. This product works and would highly recommend it for anyone with lower back pain. I have adjust to the straps and feel good using it now. The results I got are priceless thank God I bought it. ... show more

  • Item definitely helps decompress the spine. Works best directly against skin.
Size: Large
Adjustable straps use plastic buckles, after one month one of the buckles broke, luckily I was not injured, its just a-shame because it’s now useless and I really liked the product for what it was intended for. Metal buckles would have been a better design.

  • Instant Sciatica Relief, but...
Size: Large
First of all, let me say that I have a debilitating case of sciatica that literally takes me down for 2 weeks about twice a year. I decided to try to do something about it this time, so I ordered Dr. Dorsey's Sit and Decompress with some skepticism. When it arrived, I immediately set it up and strapped in, set the timer for 3 minutes and decompressed. Before I gave it a try, I could barely walk, but after 3 minutes I was AMAZED! No pain whatsoever and I could walk with ease! I did it again about an hour later and then once again this morning. I am very happy to report that after only three times decompressing, I am walking with little effort. I still have a slight pain on my left side, but absolutely nothing like it was before I started. I will continue decompressing at least once a day hopefully for the rest of my life. I'm knocking off a star for the following reasons: 1. I paid for 2 day shipping, but it took 7 days to arrive. I contacted Mr. Dorsey's company, and he refunded my postage, which was a plus financially, but did nothing for my pain. 2. I think it would be better if the straps were color coded (at least the ends) to avoid confusion. 3. The setup instructions really suck. In order to correctly install the device, you must have access to the Internet and go to their site to watch the video, otherwise you may incorrectly install it, which could result in injury. I know most people have access to the Internet, but what if you don't? Please spend more time and effort designing the setup instructions. Other than that, this device is doing exactly as advertised. Thank you Dr. Dorsey! ... show more

  • Get it as tight as it will go!
Size: Medium
Maybe I need some time to get used to it, but it hurts. You have to strap it on tight, and I mean really tight, to get it to work; extra padding may be beneficial. As for the effectiveness, so far I believe it's working, but I can't stand more than a couple of minutes with it since it really digs in to you. ... show more

  • Annoying and Frustrating.
Size: Medium
Maybe this product is just not for me, but I had high hopes to get some decompression in my lumbar area. I have a herniated disc at L5-S1, and I've been using an inversion table which helps a lot, but I don't like laying at an angle where my head is below my body. So I purchased this sit and decompress product, along with the chin-up bar (since I didn't already have one). I actually ended up returning this to Amazon it is such a disaster in my opinion. First, it's difficult to get set up the original time unless you already know how it should look. The instructions are not very clear either, I would suggest looking at the photo on this product page instead. Second, upon using the item, I realized it's extremely difficult to balance the height of the chest-band piece with the amount you'll have to sit down. I managed to get it at the right height eventually, but I feel that I should mention if you're over 6' 3" (my height) then you're probably going to have one heck of a time getting the chest-band up high enough. It's really probably made for shorter people, or people with higher than 8 ft door frames (typical U.S. door frame in my apartment). Third, as mentioned in other comments here, the chest-band DOES slip straight up to your arm-pits regardless of how tight you make it, with or without a shirt. I tried a method posted here in the comments about using a towel wrapped around my chest and then using the chest-band, which did help pretty significantly! The most success I had was with the towel. However, it takes a long amount of time to get this thing set up just-right, and strap yourself in. We're talking more than 10 minutes per use are dedicated JUST to setup, which in my opinion is not very efficient, because I was just assuming before I purchased this that I could strap in and decompress in seconds. My inversion table takes about 20 seconds of setup before I can actually use it, which is FAR faster and less frustrating. I will admit it does work once you actually sit down in it, but it still doesn't decompress nearly as well as an inversion table does. I used the inversion table right after this and noticed the table made a much more pronounced relief of pain versus this strap system. ... show more

  • A GODSEND!!!!
Size: Small
Let me start by saying my husband fell from a 15ft tree stand when he was 19 and ruptured L4 & L5 disc. After YEARS of blocks he was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease also. There are days when he comes home from work and his left leg will be giving out on him and has him in a great deal of pain. All it takes is hanging in this device and he can walk normally again!! He says it is an IMMEDIATE RELIEF!! We have literally tried everything from inversion tables, decompression brace, acupuncture mat, tens units, etc.... and THIS product does the trick!! You have to make sure that when standing in the harness your feet are ever so slightly off the ground to get the full effect. And yes it is a bit tight under the arms, but the results far out weigh that. ... show more
