Works very well. You must have some pain tolerance to get benefits from it or it doesn’t have any effect on your muscles. But if you use it regularly, it really helps maintain muscle tone and rebuild after an injury. Battery life is good after a charge. Pads stick well on skin and are hand washable.

The TENS unit is of good quality and seems to be of decent value for the price. This us my second TENS unit and my first was a different brand. I purchased this Belifu Tens unit after first asking my doctor about using one, and trying one out with my physical therapist. The included instructions were a bit confusing to me, but since my therapist said to "play around" with the settings and see what worked best, I did just that. The unit is small and fits easily and unobtrusively in a shirt pocket, which is good, since the unit doesn't come with a clip or any other means of securing the unit to one's person. The display has 6 circles, each illustrating a type of stimulation that circle is meant to impart. The "<" and ">" buttons cycle through the circle selections. The numbers 1 to 4 cycle inside each circle to indicate which mode of stimulation has been selected within that circle. The modes are selected with the "M" button. The unit has two channels, each with its own plus and minus buttons which are used to set the amount of stimulation that is applied. One can also set the amount of time the unit will run with the "T" button. The display also shows the time remaining and the battery charge level. Any time you change the type or mode of stimulation, the unit will shut off, I'm sure as a safety measure so one doesn't get an unexpected "zap." This may be a needed feature, but I've found that if the circle or mode buttons are accidentally pushed while the unit resides in a pocket, the unit shuts off and has to be reset. This can be annoying. A "lock" button would fix this issue, but there is none on the Belifu TENS. This TENS uses electrode pads with snaps, and it comes with a small selection of diferent sizes and shapes of pads. They are reusable, but eventually you will want/need more pads. Some TENS units use a style of pads that has small phono plugs instead of snaps. These will not work with the electrode wires provided with this Belifu TENS. It turns out the ports on TENS units (where one plugs in the electrode wires) are the same, whether that unit uses snap-on or phono style electrode pads. If/when you need to replace the electrode wires, you can switch pad styles. My experience is still limited, but I think the "phono plug" pads work a little better for me. ... show more

The manual was easy to understand. I read through it a few times as my main concern was being shocked. It addressed the various way to avoid that so I believe the negative reviews for that concern was user error. My first experience was great. I was happy with the results. It helped my back and wrist pain. Usually with any device that has multiple modes, I find myself liking just one. That was mode #2 for me as the others felt like electricity shocks to me. It felt most like my chiropractor's machine and gave continuous pulses. All in all, it was a good experience. It is powerful in my opinion as 1 or 2 bars is equivalent to the power in my chiropractor's office (level 12) for my wrist, and about half the bars is equivalent for the office's level (level 38) for my back. I own multiple tens units, and I must say, this one stands out as one of the best. It's incredibly user-friendly, and the current has a smooth flow. What I love is that I can always have it with me in my bag, thanks to the small dedicated bag it comes with. The unit itself is very easy to use, and its compact size makes it convenient to stow away after use. The purchase process was straightforward, and delivery was prompt, with careful packaging. 1) The adhesive lasts for only 1-3 uses then it is gone. 2) To get to the different settings is a bit confusing and silly by design 3)Great at providing relief 4)Disappointed, therefore, I exchanged thinking maybe it was defective with the adhesive to find the replacement lasted one use. I was looking forward to this being used during my cycle and for the tight muscles on my shoulders and back.
