I have never been so impressed- and im hard to impress. It was extremely well packaged with a thick hard box and sturdy foam inserts to protect it. There was no damage. It seems well made. The lids work perfectly and slowly descend. The plastic bins seem sturdy. The filter doesn't have any chemical scent. It has a QR code right by the filter to reorder. I think i will make my own QE code sticker for bags i found and put that there too. It is quite impressive and I can tell the company shows attention to detail. Fabulous job. Great for sorting out recyclable items. But a tad bit small. Could be 10-15% bigger on the trash side and the recyclable could stay the same side. Is as the 13gal trash bag only has 10gal volume. Aslo the stainless outer shell scratches slightly easy.

How nerdy do we have to be to leave a five-star review of a trash can? 'Cause I'm that nerdy. I previously used a 13-gallon one-bin trash can that worked just fine. But once I started actually collecting soda cans & bottles, plastics, and other recyclables, I finally realized just how much more I *can* recycle than can't. This can is super helpful at proving that, too. It only took me one bag change to realize that the larger bin is what I should be using for recyclables, and the smaller one for trash. Super good for me and the environment. I live in a small apartment with a postage stamp kitchen (we're talkin' 2.5 feet of walking space that's maaaaaybe 7 feet long), so size was a big (or small, as the case may be) factor for me. This IS larger than my previous 13-gallon can, but only by about 3", and it's worth it to me. I've had the can for about 2 months now, and I find it sturdy and the functionality of the lids & steps reliable. It's important to remember NOT to overfill your bags, or removing them will be super hard (yup, I definitely broke the first bag whilst removing it). As long as you don't do that, you're good. The only "real" issue I've had (which was still really minor) is that one of my bags (I'm still using my leftover 13-gallon bags, and they're totally fine for both bins) leaked, so I had a nice little puddle of rotten onion juice in the bottom of one bin. Gross. The bins are far too deep for me to reach the bottom, so I just used the shower to clean it, and it worked great. Also be aware that this does NOT come with charcoal odor pads. Here's the trick to get them for cheap: just buy a big ol' sheet of activated carbon filter pad (just search on here for it, it'll come up), and cut them to just under 3" by just under 5". Voilà! You get about 2-3 years worth of filters for about $15, instead of that lasting you just one year. All in all, I really do like this trash can. And I'm not afraid to admit that I'm nerdy enough to say that.
