I bought this alarm clock for my son cause somedays he wakes up to early and I’d appreciate it if he got up no later than 7:00 (he’s 8) he really loves having it it’s a beautiful addition to his room I love that it’s not to bright or loud of an alarm. It’s a decent size to let you read it clearly without taking up to much room. The back up AAA batteries come in handy. This is a great little clock with lots of features. However, I bought it because it has backup batteries in case of a power outage. WELL! those batteries RETAIN the time but do not DISPLAY the time. The display only works when plugged into the electrical outlet. Also, the ALARM DOES NOT WORK on the batteries! only when plugged into the electrical outlet. So if you have a power outage during the night that lasts past your alarm time... sleep on friend! ... show more

I travel a bit and I don't sleep well and when I wake in the night I like to look and see what time it is. Many hotels do not have bedside clocks and I don't want to move around a lot to see a clock, so I pack my own. I've tried other clocks which were too small, too large, hard to program, too bright, or too dim (am I sounding a bit picky?). I don't care about the numeral colors, but this little gem is a good size, easy to program, and the brightness is easily controlled. I haven't used the alarm, because, unfortunately, I always wake long before needed, but it is otherwise a good buy. ... show more

This clock has a really neat changing color scheme that brightens up the place. We're retired, so we haven't used the alarm part, but I tested it once. It would wake me up if it went off. For you non-retired folks that care aout the time, it has a place for a couple of AAA batteries that will make sure that you make it to work if your power fails. The numbers are big enough that you can see it without your glasses, which is a good thing, because who sleeps with their glasses on? My wife picked this out, but I'd buy it again. ... show more
