  • Color Atomic Alarm Clock - Accurate to the Second! The Atomic Clock has a built in receiver that automatically synchronizes itself with the WWVB radio broadcast by the US Governments National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Fort Collins, Colorado. The Atomic Clock will always be accurate to within on second as it receives daily WWVB updates.
  • Color Calendar and Day of Week Display - Always know what day of the week it is with a quick glance. The clock displays the calendar and the day of the week. Using the Snooze/Dimmer switch on top of the display, you can easily adjust the display brightness to your liking.
  • EASY TO SET DUAL ALARM - Set alarm for two people, or set one alarm for weekdays and the other for weekend!. Snooze/Dimmer Switch is simple to use and on top of the display.
  • BATTERY BACK-UP - There is a "No Worry" battery back-up option (requires 2 x AAA battery, sold separately), that will allow the alarm to go off, even if the power goes out. The battery back-up stores the time and alarm settings if the power is interrupted. During battery back-up the clocks display will not be lit. Once power is restored, the display will re-light.
  • ALWAYS ON DISPLAY Display is always illuminated. You can use the Snooze/Dimmer switch on top of the display, to easily adjust the display brightness to your liking. NOTE: The screen will go dark while the clock is setting and searching for the Atomic Signal. Once signal is located, the screen will always be illuminated.

  • Almost perfect
I did have a problem with this clock (after the nightly update, the time would be off by one hour), but their customer service prompt email response resolved the issue (DST was off). I took one star off because the brightness was not as good as it could be. My old eyes are not what they used to be.

  • Alarm volume
The only downside to this click is the alarm is not very loud. It seems to me if the other features are for easier vision, the alarm should follow suite.

  • No reception of the time signal anywhere in my house.
I can find no place in my house were either of the two copies of this clock that I purchased will set its self. I think the atomic clock signal is to week were I live. These are not the only clocks with which I have have had this problem. However the clock is reasonably easy to set manually. The year, month, day, hour and minutes are all individually settable with both forward and backward buttons. This was enough of an improvement over those clocks I had to justify the low cost of this clock. ... show more

  • Goes blank when talks to mothership
I purchased this clock, only wanting to know the time, but thought having it tell me the days of the week would be fun. When I got it I found out that this tells you not only the day, but the year, month, and day. That is, after you figure out how to set it. Follow the directions exactly to set it and please don’t make a mistake or you will have to disconnect and start again from square one. When you get around to setting the time the directions say press time for 3 seconds. Given that most electric clocks want you to hold the time button while you set the time I tried that. Serendipitously a few times later I accidentally released it and set the time. Yes, I know the definition of idiocy is trying the same things again and again hoping for different results. I plead guilty, but an accident saved me. On the plus side you can set any of these things by going forward or backwards, so no more pressing minute 59 times to set the minute to 59. I have been amused to find that every night sometime between midnight and 3AM it reports to the mothership (must be the satellite) and goes blank for 10 to 20 minutes. The first time this happened I was irritated because I had just thrown the box to return it away, but before I awoke the next time the clock was back on. No mention of a battery, but there is a case on the back, I guess they assume you can figure that out for yourself. There is, however, a mention of a dimness switch, but there is no such thing and I wish there was. ... show more

  • Good quality..nice on the bedstand
No problems. Had a few years and does what it does. Accurate, and alarm will get you up to start your day. Nice to know you won't get time drift with this clock..so far nice purchase.

  • Good desktop Clock
This product was purchased after exhaustive searching for a clock with a good base. The clock is very readable and keeps time even though the sync is not working. The location is censurably far from a window that could be used to synchronize with (NIST) signal. After relocating to a winding the clock synchronized and has kept accurate time even though it is not able to pickup the (NIST) signal. The only negative is that power supply needs must be connected to clock so a bit of effort is required to move to a window. If AC power would not be required it would be less of a hassel to occasionally move th clock to a window to receive the (NIST) signal. ... show more

  • Difficult to read from an angle.
The brightness is a little to high for my sleep comfort even on the lowest setting. I had to put a tinted film over the display and turn the clock away from my headboard. It is tricky though, when turned to much the display cannot be read. I really like the display layout so I will keep the clock otherwise I would have returned it. ... show more

  • INTERMITTENT
This is a nice clock with one quirky issue. Sometimes when I awake in the middle of the night, the clock screen is totally blank, as if it were unplugged. After several minutes, the clock screen comes alive, and I am able to know the time. I can't guess as to why the clock does this, but I'll keep the unit. ... show more
