Description

The P34A60 is an affordable storage solution that doesn't skimp on performance. It's designed for novice users, DIY system builders, purpose- built system manufacturers, and simply those who are looking to upgrade their PC. But with a PCIe Gen3x4 interface, which means four lanes are used for transmitting and receiving data simultaneously, read speeds up to 2,200 MB/s, and write speeds up to 1,600 MB/s, this SSD is anything but basic. The P34A60 supports NVMe 1.3, which demands better performance vectors than AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface), including scalable bandwidth, increased IOPS, and low latency. In addition, HMB (Host Memory Buffer) architecture, which allows the host driver to allocate system memory (RAM) for exclusive use by the SSD, results in higher efficiency. It's this teamwork that provides optimum performance. The P34A60 is engineered with LDPC (Low-Density Parity Check) coding, a powerful error correction code (ECC) algorithm, to keep data secure. Furthermore, End-To-End (E2E) data protection, to ensure that accessed and retrieved data are correct from start to finish, and a RAID engine, which provides an acceptable level of fault tolerance, work to enhance data integrity for greater reliability and stability. With an M.2 2280 (80mm) form factor, the P34A60's compact size allows for easy installation in laptops, small form factor PC systems, and some ultrabooks. And with up to a massive 2TB capacity option, it's an easy upgrade that can greatly expand your system's storage potential while also saving space for other components.

  • Great M.2 Drive at a Great Price!! SP is Great for Value & Quality!!
Capacity: 512GB Style: 512GB
This worked great to upgrade my friend's father's Dell laptop that still had a mechanical HDD. Downloading and using the cloning software was a breeze. Only trouble I had was that I could not figure out how to use both drives. I wanted to do that so they could back stuff up. It seemed it was not possible because of the Dell BIOS. I did not have a lot of time to figure it out and this takes nothing away from SP. I just wanted to mention it to those who might want to know. I stand by SP products. I've been buying their stuff for a long time. I love this company for value and quality. You can be sure you're getting the Good Stuff of its from SP! ... show more

  • Fast NVMe Upgrade at a Great Price
Capacity: 512GB Style: 512GB
This SSD installed easily and was recognized immediately. Boot times and app loading speeds improved noticeably compared to my old drive. It runs cool and performance is very solid for a Gen3 NVMe. Great value upgrade for laptops or desktops and perfect as a boot drive.

  • Great M.2 drive with extras!
Capacity: 512GB Style: 512GB
I bought the Silicon Power 512GB NVMe M.2 PCIe Gen3x4 2280 TLC SSD (SP512GBP34A60M28) to use as a backup clone of my system. My first criteria for selecting was price. This little devil was just over $50 delivered. Second, it had to be reasonably reliable. The large number of reviews indicated it was. Speed wasn't really a concern. Ultimately I wanted a backup of my system so if something happened, I could be up and running within a few minutes. I know you can create a system image using Windows and an external HDD or SSD (which I did), but too often, when I go for the restore, after watching the progress bar for at least 45 minutes, I get a restore failure notice (which happened this time also). Luckily, I had a clone of the system that although slightly older than the image backup, booted. Usually I use Acronis to clone drives. I love the fact it will work with different size source and target drives as long as the data will fit. Anyway, I bought the Silicon Power 512GB NVMe M.2 drive to clone my system. It installed as expected and worked without any issues. I noticed a couple of QR codes on the package and read something about free software as a thank you for purchasing their product. I wasn't expecting much but went ahead and checked out there offer. There were various utility apps but one among them was Echo, a disk cloning app. I thought what the heck, I'll take a look. I'm glad I did. Their cloning software has so far been what I've always wished Acronis would put out. It's a one trick app that will work with different size drives just like Acronis. It lacks all the extra baggage Acronis comes with and best of all does not install a bunch of services like Acronis does (for it's backup software). It cloned my m.2 system drive in a matter of minutes. I also tried cloning my m.2 drive to a USB HDD. That took considerably longer, but the system booted from the HDD fairly quickly. For some reason when I've cloned an SSD to an HDD using Acronis, the HDD will boot, but it takes forever. Did not have that problem using Echo. Bottom line, the Silicon Power 512GB NVMe M.2 PCIe Gen3x4 2280 TLC SSD (SP512GBP34A60M28) seems to be a good piece of hardware and you can (at least for now) get a nice, simple, straight forward cloning app thrown in, all for just over $50. That's a pretty sweet deal. ... show more

  • Great on a budget
Capacity: 512GB Style: 512GB
For the money this was an excellent drive. Purchased it almost 6 years ago as a kid in highschool looking for a cheaper NVMe to upgrade to and only today did it finally die. Noticed some early signs of degradation with Microsoft office popups titled (diagnostics) and it still had a good 6 months till it kicked the bucket. At the time, the big competitors were charging twice as much and I'm not entirely certain that they would've lasted longer. This is a great drive on a budget, and if you're worried about longevity I'd plan to buy a new stick 4-5 years from now. ... show more

  • It's an SSD
Capacity: 512GB Style: 512GB
It's an SSD. I've been using it as my OS drive for a few years now and haven't had any problems yet. To be fair I don't constantly write new data onto it, but it works nonetheless.

  • Underrated speed specs, VERY FAST. (SP512GBP34A60M28)
Capacity: 512GB Style: 512GB
For reference, drive D: is the Silicon power, and drive C: is the original Lenovo ssd, with it’s specs to the right. I upgraded the storage on my 1yr old Lenovo Legion 5 Gaming laptop with this affordable drive, and was BLOWN AWAY by the speeds. The OEM drive has a 512mb DRAM cache and is rated for 3500 write/ 2800 read. (Comparable to a 970evo) The SP, despite not having a DRAM cache and being rated at less than 70% of the other drives speed, held right up to it in identical random read/write Benchmark tests and even surpassed it in a single queue read! When transferring files, the SP response time is a bit slower at around 20ms compared to <1ms, but for playing games and running CAD it is unnoticeable. I measured my Forza horizon 4 load times to be about half a second slower, but that was more likely human error than an actual difference. I am more than pleased by the performance of this drive, it’s definitely a slept on choice. If you want large capacity speed for cheap don’t waste money on a Samsung, try this first! Note: it does NOT come with a screw so make sure you have one. ... show more

  • great drive for the money
Capacity: 512GB Style: 512GB
I have purchased half a dozen Silicon Power nvme drives in the last month or so from 256g to 512g 1tb and 2tb and I've found all of them to be fantastic values. They seem to be reliable, very fast, as much storage as I need, fast boot times, very acceptable performance and the cost per gig is a super value. My main systems have bigger drives because I use them more but my bench and test machines have this 256gb drive and its' a spectacular value. I have several with different OSs installed so if I need to I just swap the drive and go. I have a NAS so I don't need a ton of local storage, these are perfect. ... show more

  • Excellent!
Capacity: 512GB Style: 512GB
I've used this brand in my daughter's computer years ago and at that time I was hesitant because the brand was just starting out. I slowly built my trust. I bought a laptop that needed more storage. I looked online; the laptop had no expansion slot, looked up a videos and documentation. Figured I had to look for myself before returning the laptop and here I am. This brand has great products and this NVMe was the perfect addition to the laptop; great tranfer rate, reliable. *The BIOS seen it but Windows and Device Manager didn't see it, I double checked BIOS and rebooted; started Device Manager and it was good after that. Easy configuration. ... show more
