Description

[Product Features] [Upgrade Your Productivity ] Looking to make the switch to the latest generation of PCIe interface? The UD85 is the perfect introduction to the power of PCIe 4.0. With support for NVMe 1.4 and Host Memory Buffer (HMB) technology, you'll get uninterrupted productivity via higher performance and lower latency for seamless execution across applications. [Speed Up Your Efficiency ] The UD85 delivers a fast and smooth experience with read speeds up to 3,600MB/s and write speeds up to 2,800MB/s. It achieves improved sequential read/write and random read/write performance with support for SLC Caching. [Do More With 2TB For Less ] The UD85 is all about value: it's available in large storage capacities up to 2TB with an affordable price tag. Get all the space you need for applications, documents, photos, and videos without breaking the bank. [A Flexible Upgrade ] The UD85 makes it easy to upgrade from PCIe Gen 3 to Gen 4. It's also backwards-compatible with Gen 3 for greater flexibility across systems. And, its M.2 2280 size easily integrates into designs with M.2 connectors, making it the perfect choice for thin laptops and small form factor PCs. [Lower Latency With 3D NAND ] With 3D NAND flash technology, the UD85 incorporates multiple layers of vertically- stacked memory cells to overcome the density limitations of its single-layered 2D counterpart and achieve greater capacities. A reduced distance between memory cells also results in lower latency and higher performance. [Comprehensive Data Protection And Accuracy ] The UD85 supports low density parity check (LDPC) coding to ensure accuracy of data transmission and reliability of data access, while RAID protects data in the case of a drive failure. It's also equipped with built-in E2E data protection and an automatic error correction code (ECC) function for enhanced data transfer integrity. [Stay S.M.A.R.T. With SP Toolbox ] The SP Toolbox provides a free, user- friendly way to obtain disk information, change settings at any time, and erase files securely. View drive information, S.M.A.R.T. status, wear-out count, and block information with ease. Or, perform a diagnostic scan or performance test to make sure the drive is healthy and running efficiently. 5-year limited warranty. • Great price for a storage upgrade
Style: 2TB
I got this to upgrade a new laptop that simply didn't have enough storage. It was fast and easy to install it in my Dell laptop, fortunately - just open the 8 screws, pull off the lid, and swap it out. Some systems might be harder. Getting it working was a little harder, as I had to manually reinstall Windows and put my software on. If I was migrating from an old system to a new one, I'd have done a lot of backups, but this was nice and easy. Performance is great. Haven't had any issues with all that space; it just runs and doesn't complain. I've had a few SP drives before and these always work well. No regrets! ... show more

  • Economical and Efficacious
Style: 256GB
In addition to posing what I felt was a rather reasonable price, this piece and techological material was functional, well-packaged and has seemingly served as equally reliable all the same. Thank you kindly to all at Amazon and Silicon Power for making this purchase possible, and have a fantastic rest of the week if you can. Sincerely, Redfish ... show more

  • Excellent!
Style: 512GB
I've used this brand in my daughter's computer years ago and at that time I was hesitant because the brand was just starting out. I slowly built my trust. I bought a laptop that needed more storage. I looked online; the laptop had no expansion slot, looked up a videos and documentation. Figured I had to look for myself before returning the laptop and here I am. This brand has great products and this NVMe was the perfect addition to the laptop; great tranfer rate, reliable. *The BIOS seen it but Windows and Device Manager didn't see it, I double checked BIOS and rebooted; started Device Manager and it was good after that. Easy configuration. ... show more

  • Fantastic value for dollar
Style: 2TB
Pros - More than fast enough for 99% of tasks. If you need a bit more speed they have a higher speed version for ~15% more at time of writing. - High capacity for dollar Cons - One failure at arrival due to CRC error. Possible this made it past QA but more likely damage of some description during shipping. The package was bent but not around the drive, still may have been some deflection which caused issues. Overall I highly recommend this drive. I'm currently populating an Asys Hyper M.2 gen 3 card with three of these and one in the faster version for rapid photo editing. It makes a massive difference running the software library and files off a single drive and moving off SATA SSD to these is significant. Even moving from this version to the Silicon Power A80 2TB, which is a touch faster, speeds things up marginally (not enough for most people to notice but when you're loading a library with ~10k photos, 500GB, and the library files to support it there's a difference). I'll be submitting an RMA for the one failed drive but I want to note this is the 12th drive I've purchased from them and the first failure. Several have been in service over five years. I have NO ISSUES with the brand thus far. ... show more

  • Decent Quality - May be finicky in enclosures
Style: SSD
I tried this in an enclosure as a backup on a Mac (M2). Formatting the drive as APFS encrypted seemed to work, but the drive died when transferring over 30 GB, so it ended up as a big headache. After several frustrating attempts, I tried it in a different enclosure, and it seemed to work fine. Other NVMe SSDs have not seemed so particular in the past. Unless your use case is similar, this should work for you (and if you try it as an external, you might try different enclosures). ... show more

  • Great value
Style: 2TB
Some great value NVME storage. I used 8 of these in my NAS for my rapid storage. They worked exactly as I wanted! Good speed, fit my coolers perfectly so installation was easy. Nvme 1.3 so they are compatible with a good bit of older hardware via adapter cards.
