This is a very capable and sturdy magnifier that can fill a range of use cases. I have it mounted on a 5.56 and it performing exceptionally well. The QD mount works well and the adjustments for right and left are accurate. The flip mechanism is firm with no slop. It has a diopter for fine adjustment and the glass is clear. It has decent eye relief (with any 5x magnification scope you're going to have significantly less eye relief as compare to a 3x). My use case is for 100+ yard distances, and at that distance you're likely supported and stable which mitigates any eye relief concerns anyway. The one downside is that it's a bit long compared to other 5x options, which depending on your setup (rail space) may not allow for backup irons. Overall, for the price and performance, this magnifier stands out, especially considering that there are only a few options in this category. ... show more

Its what I would expect for the price. Mechanically it is very sound. Feels good and snug. Snap/cam action is nice and smooth. The quality of the optics seems to be reflected in the price. Primarily the eye relief, and secondarily the clarity. Its not terrible but I wouldn't put this on a premium lead slinger. I moved it from my favorite 5.56 to my plinker 22. The eye relief is really problematic as you need to be so close to it. This is likely an issue with the technology in general though. ... show more

Had this behind an Eotech holographic site.Compared to the Eotech magnifer they recommend and the $400 price tag for it,I figure I'd try this.Id take this magnifier and not look back at other brands,and ive tried them all..For the price, the quality is perfect.This thing works flawlessly and for the price you can't beat it. The item i received was not a Sitemark. This item was not packaged as new. It appears that it was previously owned and returned as in a sitemark box to pass off and a Sitemark item. Box was unsealed. It was some other brand that was scratched with blemishes that appear to be from lots of use. The magnifier would not perform the flip function at all. Very disappointed in the product.     • Internal Components Came Loose After 7 Months

UPDATE: Sightmark did an outstanding job at backing their product. I called customer service, they were very apologetic, they asked me to send it in and they promptly sent me a replacement. I’ve given 3 stars at this point because we will see if the new one holds up. After 7 months of moderate use the internal components have come loose rendering the magnifier useless. I did like it very much until this happened. I had it mounted on my 300 blackout, decided to move it to my 556 and in the middle of my first range session is when it failed. Very disappointed, this wasn’t the most expensive magnifier but it wasn’t cheap either. ... show more
