There really isn't much I can say about the SRO, this sight is unmatched in quality and design. Best warranty in the business. If you are going to mount a red dot on your gun, take your time save up the funds and buy your last red dot first, it will not let you down.

The unit I received was clearly used. The optic came with a dead battery in it. Decided to try it out anyway and this thing wouldn't hold zero at all. After about 5-6 shots, the dot was all over the place. Really disappointed in Trijicon making such a dainty optic. Loved the huge window on this optic compared to others on the market but this is now my third SRO I've bought and every one of them couldn't hold zero on my .45. ... show more

I shoot USPSA and Steel Challenge, and I really like this optic, especially with the 5 moa dot. I'm not shooting bullseye, so fast target acquisition is more important than being able to shoot the left wing off a gnat at 50 yards. After about 3000 rounds, I somehow managed to put a tiny scratch or chip dead center in the glass, probably from spall coming off a steel target. This caused the dot to start looking like a nebula, so I sent the optic back to Trijicon. They are going to fix or replace it for free, even though I'm pretty sure the warranty doesn't cover this sort of thing, so kudos to Trijicon! There are two things I don't like about the SRO, which is why I'm knocking one star off: 1) If I'm shooting in the general direction of the sun, there is an annoying red blob that appears in addition to the dot. If you're running around and shooting fast, it's very easy to mistake the blob for the dot. I should point out that this problem is not unique to the SRO, and I'm not aware of an optic that doesn't do this to one degree or another (although I hear that the SIG Romeo 3 is pretty good). 2) I wish there were more brightness levels to choose from. I haven't played around with the automatic setting very much, but in manual mode the dot goes from "Where is it?" to "Oh, there it is!" to "Wow, that's really bright!" with nothing in between. 90% of the time the "Oh, there it is!" level is perfect, but there are other times when it would be nice to have more options. ... show more

I like the SRO. People seem to underestimate how rugged these are. We have put them through tough tests. The big view makes a huge difference and it always works. I like the little dot.
