I had been wanting to good vacuum for a few years and never did it, never did it. FINALLY, I researched different ones and asked friends and family what they had, and most people had a Shark. I picked this one, based on reviews and looks. I am so happy with it. As soon as I saw it on my porch, I set it up, which was SO easy to do, I didn't even look at the instructions.I used it over my whole house and it picked up SO MUCH DIRT. More than my other vacuum ever did (cough cough Bissel...). The main things I like about this vacuum are, it isn't super loud at all. I used it while my toddler napped. It rolls and maneuvers really easily. I love that you can control the suction, as I have a thicker rug in my living room and it allows me to vacuum it with ease AND still getting it cleaner and fluffing it back up to looking brand new. I like how easy it is to use, along with the hose. Its a longer, solid piece so you don't have to bend over so much to clean the edges and corners of your home. It is also lightweight (to me, compared to my Bissel i was using). I'm overall very happy with this vacuum. ONLY complaint is I wish the cord was a bit longer. My Bissel did have a longer cord for sure, but this is not a major thing to me. BUY THIS and you will love seeing how much dirt and dust it gets off your floors and furniture. We had a Dyson cordless stick vacuum, which was supposed to be for animals, but it honestly sucked and it was so expensive. My husband did not want to risk another cordless, so I scoured reviews and went with this one. Wow this is a game changer! It’s so nice to have a reliable vacuum and it honestly sucks up so much hair. It’s disgusting to think how much was lingering around our house before this vacuum. The cord can be a little annoying but it’s nice to not have to stop mid-vacuum to charge it, so totally worth it. The cord is also pretty long and the whole upper part can detach to get up stairs, etc. The detachable wand is also easy to use. I am amazed how much the dust compartment holds, I could probably vacuum my house twice before needing to empty it. Our house has both hard floors and carpet and this has been great on both, I like that it has different settings for each floor type. No fur or anything has gotten caught in the rotors or anything. All in all, this was worth every penny. I hope it lasts for years to come! ... show more

This navigator replaced my second Dyson. Hopefully it will have lasting suction unlike my Dyson (5 years and lousy suction) I love that you can empty the canister top and bottom so no fishing around trying to get dog hair out of it. I love the amount of suction it has, fingers crossed that it lasts. What I don’t love is the cord is attached toward the bottom, not a big deal but not the best. I don’t love that it’s not smooth running, takes more muscle to push than the Dyson. I’ve got German shepherds and vacs just don’t seem to hold up to the hair and the sand we’ve got in Florida. But right now it’s doing a decent job, and cheaper than the Dyson. ... show more

I would give this vacuum a four and a half out of five. I think it's a great vacuum. I have a lot of pets and wood floors in it picks up nicely. Keeps my house clean. A couple of things I don't like about it is the location of the cord. I wish that was up more. Not so low on the vacuum. The other thing I don't like is the hose is not long enough and anytime I go to use it I forget it. It barely goes a few feet and then the vacuum falls over. Somehow they needed to come up with a longer hose. But the hose picks up great. So I do like that it has great section power. Also the cord could be a little longer. I had to add an extension cord to get around my house because that's my preference. But overall it's a great vacuum and I hope it lasts me another couple of years. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. For pet owners—I filmed a video of vacuuming up after brushing out my German Shepherd/Husky mix (she is also featured in the video). The amount of hair is disgusting—but not now that this bad boy picked it up. Prefer this vacuum over my old Dyson ball pet vacuum. Really like that it has a light on it, and like the lift away technology! It DOES tip over a bit easily when using the hose features/lift away but that’s because it’s nice and light. ..and I might be a clumsy/aggressive vacuumer. Only thing I miss from my Dyson were all the attachments (this comes with two) and the length of the power cord on the Shark is not as long. Not really a big issue though, and the shark attachments DO work great, way better than I’d expect. Also MUCH EASIER to empty out than my Dyson was, because this opens at the top AND bottom, whereas my Dyson I had to reach my arm all the way up to get dog hair that was stuck at the top. ... show more

Let me tell y'all, this vacuum.... THIS VACUUM?? I couldn't dream up a better vacuum for my needs. If I even had any expectations, they were definitely exceeded. I actually got excited to vacuum becuase of the sheer power it has cleaning my rug, and my hardwood floors. Very useful that the handle detaches and has its own long range use, with a slide to adjust the power on the handle. I didn't think the light in the front would be very useful, but I find myself seeing dirt I missed quite often. I have a long haired dog that sheds 24/7 even with regular brushing and a short haired cat whose hair gets stuck in everything, and this thing is a godsend. Use it for my couches, my shelves, my floor obviously, and even my bed when I get a little vacuum happy. Very easy to clean the dust container out. Couldn't recommend more! ... show more
